I would like to add that the velcro attachments can be applied to many types of military clothing and other non-military clothing A tactical vest with webbing, shoulder straps, and a long belt. Can you tell me how wide the IOTV standard shoulder straps are?
I am unsure about the plate carrier you mentioned, as I have not heard of it and our store does not sell that brand. However, our HSGI pads have velcro attachments, so they can be easily adjusted. These would probably fit pretty much any vehicle that has a 4-cylinder engine. The straps measure 3 inches long. You could also sew or tape the velcro adjustments if you had to if worst comes to worst. This is something that I have already done with several LBVs and chest carriers in the past. The IOTV adapters save your life when using a standard issue device. As far as I know, these have survived a deployment, but the cushioning has degraded because I wear them daily. Also, the velcro has frayed a bit, but that's to be expected when you use something every day in harsh conditions. These will likely be retired after the deployment, and I'll get a new pair at home for my plate carrier.
With an IOTV or with a patrol gun, I feel different when I run for hours or patrol for hours. It sounds like these things would make a plate carrier even more convenient, but I have no experience with one.
I love The shoulder pads I bought were used by me throughout my 3 years of military service. They served me in two combat zones and I would have nothing to say but good things about them. I found it more comfortable to wear my kit on days end because of these liners.
