Questions & Answers

What about the glove's thumb guide, which is made of a thicker leather? What store did you purchase that from?

It is impossible to repair the pinky and thumb. The glove must be replaced once those have been broken.

What are the names of the tools that are included, and are they of good quality?

Cutter, lacing tool, threading tool, and awl are among the tools included in the kit. Except for the cutters, the tools are adequate for the job; however, I'm not sure where you'd find replacements.

What makes the cost so high?

Anything purchased in a kit will cost more than if you put it together yourself.

Is this the same oil sold in the small spray bottle by Wilson?

I refilled my empty spray bottle with the contents of this kit's oil, which is a different color than the spray bottles' oil.

The quality is not worth the price, but it will do the job
3/5

I purchased this kit because I had misplaced my previous repair tools and needed to replace them. lace up a pair of my older gloves To re-tan 95% of the time, I only use a good tanner's lacing needle and cutters Lace a glove, but keep a lacing tool and an awl on hand in case something goes wrong. I thought this would be an excellent kit, but I was mistaken. The leather that was given to us was satisfactory. Unfortunately, the tools are simply low-cost, low-quality alternatives. A quality tanner's lacing needle, which is one of the most useful tools for repairing gloves, was also missing from the kit. Because the image is so small, I assumed it would include a good lacing needle with a threaded end, but it does not. Lacing time can be reduced by half with a good needle. I ended up having to purchase a good lacing needle on my own.

The tools are of average quality

Leather laces, on the other hand, are a different story. Pros: The bag adds a nice finishing touch by keeping everything in one place. It includes the essentials for (extremely) basic glove repair. For what you get, the price is reasonable. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The leather cutters are either too small or too dull to do a good job. While I was working on my mitt, the threading needle provided began to bend slightly. The laces are of poor quality and are much thinner than other laces available. I re- I laced the pocket of my catcher's mitt and it broke the first time I used it. br>br>If you plan to do a lot of glove work, you'll need to replace the tools in this kit over time, but they'll get you started. The kit would be better if it included a leather threading needle and needle nose pliers to'screw' the lace into.

A good selection of tools to cover all of the "basics" of replacing or repairing baseball gloves- The provided laces could be of higher quality
4/5

This is a nice kit that includes nearly all of the tools you'll need to perform basic lacing repair or replacement. There are only three pieces of leather lacing included, and they are of poor quality. When you come across some good replacement laces, I recommend supplementing this with a large handful. It's strange that they provide you with such high-quality tools but poor-quality materials with which to work. I'm sure you're paying a little more for the A2000 zipper pouch made of leather. If you're a serious coach, parent, or player who wants to keep your gloves in top shape, this is the glove for you. Otherwise, it could be a bit much for the average user.

Quality ranges from average to poor

The quality of each of the tools left me a little disappointed. The lace in the kit was a little dried out from sitting on the shelf for a while, but it was still usable. In an attempt to lace the first glove, the lacing tool bent. Due to a misalignment of the side cutter blades, the lace must be cut twice. Despite this, I was still able to use it to repair my Wilson glove (re-lacing it). laced the fingers and spiraled the web). But next time, I'm just going to get a lacing needle. This kit ended up in the garbage.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the laces that came with the kit; they are extremely stiff and of poor quality- I'm getting rid of them
3/5

The lace used in the original Wilson A2000 glove is unmistakably different. Although the tools appear to be of high quality, the kit could benefit from a lacing needle. Wire does the job, but it's not as user-friendly. The lace quality of the u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped u-shaped The lace will be torn apart by wire.

Wilson Baseball Glove Care Kit contains everything you need to keep your Wilson baseball gloves in good shape
5/5

This is a great little kit to have with you when you're on the go. I've used this kit a total of eight times now, and it's saved my life twice. I've re- laced my catcher's mitt, a couple of outfielder gloves from my high school softball team, and two emergency re-entry gloves For a college baseball tournament, there are lacing jobs available. This kit contains everything you'll need to re-establish contact with the outside world. Lace one entire glove at a time; however, the lacing is two different colors, so if you plan to re-use this kit, be aware that the lacing is two different colors. If you don't use any other lacing on your glove, you'll end up with a strange-looking glove. Everything you'll need to get started is included in the kit: two lacing tools, one leather awl, three lengths of rawhide leather lacing, leather oil, leather cutters, a brush (for what I'm not sure), and a cloth hand mitt (again, for what I'm not sure).

Repair kit for baseball and softball
5/5

With a fantastic zip bag, this glove kit is perfect. Has everything you'll need to repair gloves, which I do a lot of. Laces aren't as thin as you might think, and they're not as cheap as you might think. It's a high-quality setup that I really like. Having everything you need in one bag is a huge plus in and of itself.

For any serious ball player, this is a must-have item

mama. This kit arrived quickly, and I was able to repair my son's favorite glove in about 20 minutes using only the tools included in the kit and some basic sewing skills. I'm going to keep the kit, as well as the extra laces, in my ball bag in case of glove emergencies in the future!.
