TOFL Softball and Baseball Glove Laces | Mitt Lace Glove Repair Lacing for Catchers Glove | Leather Laces Only Without Lacing Needle

The last few years I have relaced or repaired around 20 baseball mitts a year and have purchased laces from a variety of sellers, but that has ended since I have received my first order from TOFL, from now on there is Several of the laces I've purchased are stiff and I may have to condition them for a long time before they feel comfortable. These are NOT the ones to be used. I've received laces from TOFL that I find to be soft and supple, and my mitt is ready to play as soon as I'm done. It also comes with a great price! The lacing tool is another issue I have heard of people complaining about. There must be something wrong with the way they're doing things, here's the fix Voici a tip Clip the end of the lace at an angle, and then press in while threading (twisting) the tool through the stitch. Pull the rest of the lace through by the lace after you have pulled the tool and a bit of the lace through. In the past years, I have never had the tool come off the lace when I have done I'd like to thank TOFL once more!.

These laces are of the highest quality. The gloves are a little thicker than most, which is a good thing in general for any glove. Since I started relacing gloves and mitts around 6 months ago, I have only received rave reviews from the folks I have serviced. I have used three different colors in the pictures Three colors appear to be tan, burgundy, and red. It is important to remember that the laces in the photos have been conditioned, which darkens the color range. In response, that's what you should be looking for since any lace should be conditioned prior to lacing as well as after lacing (Lexol used for conditioning prior to lacing, Ballplayersbalm conditioner used after lacing). Since the lacing was thick enough to cover the entire first base mitt instead of 1/4", it would be better than using the standard lace size. I am blown away by the action. Also, I am not sure if this is due to luck of the draw or a deliberate decision, but this factor was remarkable It was the first time I ordered laces with lace tools included, and the tools were large in size. I only found one slight flaw the laces didn't smell like new leather when I first My only reason for saying that is that I order lace for glove from a couple of baseball shops and every time I get lace, it smells just like new It didn't have a leather smell at all, and that was a bit odd for me. I ordered from this site because it needed to be delivered quickly. Despite the odd dimensions and quality of the lace, I would order again because the glove was good quality and had a perfect thickness for a glove This leather smells like leather.

In the last year, I replaced the basket web stitching on my 30+ year old Rawlings as well as repairs to the top finger stitching. I found this to be quite a bit thicker than the original laces on my glove, however some of that difference could simply be due to the age of the gloves. You have enough lace to cover the pinky, thumb, and bottom palm area of the hand if you wish to complete the matching. The areas that get the least stress on my glove are still in a good condition because they get much less stress. My method of fastening the lace to the needle was to cut a notch in the end of the lace and to press or screw it in very tightly. The slack was pulled through by pulling the needle through the lace, not the needle itself, after I ran the needle through each section. In several areas, we had to route through extremely narrow areas so we did not separate the lace from the needle at all. You can find a lot of helpful videos ready to be watched online that show how to restitch. The process is quite long, but it is quite easy, especially if you are willing to pull out the old lace slowly. I would only slight critique this thing because the product images for color selection are a bit outdated. It appears as though medium brown and tan are very similar in the pictures. As it turns out, I went with medium brown, but it has a darker tone than I imagined. If I had known more about the tan option, I probably would have selected it.

A piece of the web in my glove was broken while pitching, so I bought this product to fix it. In terms of value, I was satisfied with the value and the quality of the product. It consists of four laces that are each 72 inches long. As I said, I only had one complaint. The end of a baseball or softball glove. My purchase was intended to go with a high end baseball glove however, I was disappointed in the width and quality of the lacing. I would say the lace is more of an eighth-inch instead of a three-quarters-inch. You can use this to change the lace on lower end of ball gloves if you are in a bind or need to change them quickly, but I don't recommend it for a very good If you put this baseball lace side by side with the original baseball lace there is a clear difference between quality and size. I will be returning this item because I'm not satisfied with it.

So far I haven't used the laces, but based on the picture, it does not seem to be the blue I was hoping it would be. This color has a light blue hue that is almost close to Carolina blue. Comparing it against blue painters paint gives a good idea of the quality.

Despite conditioning the laces, they did not darken much at all. Blue as always for the Carolinas.

It was my intention to re-purchase the 4 pack Took my old Wilson A2000 to the lace shop. I have gloves that match the color of my shirt. It was a Franklin needle I had to use. I will get the correct threading needle the next time I need to do it I am lacing. There will have to be a few seasons for the leather to last. I found the price to be very good.
