The measurements are 43" wide by 11" tall by 3/4" deep. This is large enough to hold a full-size bottle of wine. a sword or a saber of a certain size

It is extremely durable. The Marines' insignia was delivered to us. The only thing I would change is that I believe the emblem should have been inlaid; it was a wonderful birthday present for my husband, and all of the others I looked at for his sword looked so cheap.

Although it appears to be of good quality, it was slightly damaged when it arrived

Although it appears to be in good condition, it came with a chipped corner piece of wood. Attempts to repair it were unsuccessful because the part was too damaged to be repaired. It is barely visible when mounted.

The sword was not given to you

Only the backboard was sent. I received the box, which contained the USAF emblem, the back board, and mounting hooks, but no sword or scabbard.
