In their description they claim that they are made from real wood, but they are not. As well, the slide-in connection between the two boards takes more time than others. -This should have been done first
LAST MINUTE WARNING- I have not watched the YouTube videos on these topics. After returning the boards, I was provided with a refund of $20 less than what I paid for them.
I read some poor reviews, but I tried them anyway. Even though I'd read some poor reviews on these before purchasing them, I had tested them and found them to be effective. Taking just a finger to break the hardiest board takes very little energy when one lets their energy flow through the boards. Even the hardest board can be broken very easily. My duties include teaching Gung Fu/Kung Fu/ and martial arts with a few styles and not only demonstrating with a single finger but teaching so that the board is hit through rather than just struck hard. This is fun and we're enjoying it a lot. In addition to practicing board breaking outside the dojo, my daughters love the fact that they can practice their skills outside. Our company is also very happy to see how much wooden boards we are saving up on. We see that our girls are steadily getting more confident with this skill, because they find it quite intimidating at first.
There is nothing I love more than They have been used for karate by my kids and me for a long time. Their quality is great, and they can be put back together pretty easily.
This is a great tool I expected it to work well.
For the last 5 years, my son has been taking karate lessons. He knows how to break a board and how to hold it in the proper way for others to break it. The set we bought cannot be broken in class since he uses this set every day. It's the same with the way they're put back together. Not happy with the results.
I have about 20 students per year who need to do this Second time I buy these boards. They are great for practice but you have to be careful when you use them too much because once they're broken, they're a pain to replace.
It would be great fun even if you aren't a karate practitioner to play with this set. They use them in class, and they wanted a set to practice at home. There are some boards that require more strength than others.
