I removed the tags (they were quite large), and I believe it is foam covered in nylon / other material blends (I'm not sure of the ratio). They have a length of 13". My arms are large, comfortable, and effective at preventing bruising from our Krav Maga 360-degree defense practice.
I used these for my father, who suffered from dementia and had a penchant for pinching himself. He weighed 200 pounds and stood 5 feet 11 inches tall. From the bottom of his elbow to his wrist, he was completely covered.
Because I normally wear a large shirt, I ordered a large and it fits perfectly. The product stretches to fit your arm and is comfortable to wear on my arm. I use it to take down combatant patients in a facility while blocking to protect my arm.
Two protectors are included. It's perplexing because I ordered two expecting only one, but two pairs arrived. They're quite pleasant.

I bought this forearm guard because I have a chronic problem with my left arm's ulnar nerve, and I needed to protect my lower forearm (the underside) from pressure, which aggravates the problem. I didn't want to be seen as a frail, uninterested individual. I was hoping for a padded compression sleeve, and this is exactly what I got. The pad is a little stiff (it's not as soft as a mattress topper), but it provides enough support and protection. My arm does warm up a little, but it appears to calm my nerves, so it's a win-win situation. win. I haven't washed it yet, so I'm hoping it will last. I imagine it would get pretty gamey quickly if you didn't wash it (especially if you were going to use it for sports). I'm not sure about other applications, but if you have ulnar impairment or entrapment, it's worth a shot. I'm going to get a matching elbow pad, but I haven't found one yet. I'm not a big reviewer, but I wanted to help anyone who was having problems with their ulnar nerve. It's not something I'd want anyone to go through. I'm a guitarist, and it's very discouraging because it affects both of my fingers. OK- best of luck.
As a precaution for not using them for prolonged periods of time, when my forearms were torturing my head every day at work, I purchased this to dissipate, remove, or not place all the weight of this hat all the way onto one spot on a part of my forearm and honestly after weeks.
When bracing my dolly at work, I wear these to protect my forearm. It makes a huge difference when I'm carrying hundreds of pounds on it at a time. They are absolutely necessary for heavy stops, in my opinion. These are by far the best value for money.
I put them on and fist-punched myself in the arm. It hurt just as much when they were on as when they were off. There would have been bruises from a few strikes. If you want to be protected, you shouldn't wear these.
The pad reaches all the way to the elbow and completely covers it. Because I only needed a forearm pad, a smaller size would have been preferable. The material is thick and soft. I have nerve damage and need a pad that will fit under my long sleeve shirt; this is a little too thick for that, but I'm sure it will work fine for its intended purpose.
DUE TO THE MEDICATIONS I TAKE, MY SKIN IS PRONE TO BRUISING AND TEARING. WHEN I'M OUTDOORS AND ACTIVE, THIS IS WHAT I WEAR. THEY WORK EXCELLENTLY AND HAVE PROVEN TO BE VERY SAFE.
These are what I use for martial arts sparring, specifically with bamboo slat swords. The padding is fantastic - Even when hit directly in the forearm, there is no discomfort. I'd give them 5 stars if the fit wasn't a little off, and there was no reinforcement at the ends, so the material would fray over time.
