No plates are rigid. I find them to be sufficiently padded for the level of sparring I engage in.

It depends on the size of his forearm; one reviewer said he ordered a small and ended up with an 8. Forearm is 5 inches long. He admitted that it was a little tight, but he was content. I am 5' 10" and weigh 185 pounds, so I ordered a large. Mine are fantastic. I'm guessing small to extra-small. small. Best of luck!

It's about 9 inches from my elbow to the bones in my wrist. What am I in terms of size?

My age is ten. 5 inches. I ordered a L size. However, it would be nice to try the M size; large sizes will be too long.

My forearms are eight inches long, so I ordered a small. 5 in. They're a little on the small side, but they're perfect for krav and 360 blocks! I would strongly suggest it. I had two metal plates that needed to be protected.
