Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it to play football?

My son likes to use them for football.

I'm 6'1" tall and very slim. I'm not sure what size to order. ?

At your height, you'd need a large, Sterling. Because the y are elastic, they will stay in place no matter what size you are.br>br>Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. br>br>Charlesbr>The Martial Arts Storebr>(770) 441-9090br> 9946

What size should I get if I'm 5'5?

I believe it would be determined by the length of your arms. Because I am quite large, I ordered an extra large.

Do gloves come with the package? Are they, in fact, fingerless?

The sleave fits like a glove and extends from the forearm to the back of the hand. It looks a lot like a kote.

Good for defending against a horde of crazed weasels or a sparring opponent
5/5

These are great for sparring; I've blocked a few kicks with them and haven't felt a thing. br>br>In order to put these to the test before sparring, I had my son whack me with a shinai, which I easily blocked with these without feeling anything. After about 10 shots, he finally managed to hit me hard enough that I felt a minor sting through these pads, so we switched to a bokken and repeated the test. As a result, I assumed they'd be suitable for Taekwondo sparring. br>br>The good news is that they are not only very effective at absorbing impact, but they are also very fast, much faster than cloth forearm guards and gloves. They also fit much better into an open hand fighting style than a closed fist fighting style, but they will transition without difficulty. br>br>Please keep in mind that I am not solely trained in TKD and that I employ a variety of techniques. a mash-up of Karate, Kempo, Winchun, and Maui-style martial arts These guards and Ti fit in well with these styles, particularly if you use active blocking techniques.

Equipment for people with special needs
5/5

I bought these for my son, who is severely autistic and has a tendency to backhand strike his face, objects, and other people. These work extremely well to keep his hands, forearms, and face safe, as well as the safety of his caregivers. It does, however, leave the finger tips free, which, depending on his mood, can assist him in using his aac device or iPad and, potentially, distracting him long enough for his meltdown to end. Because the guards can be removed with the fingertips, I recommend an elastic Velcro strap that wraps around the wrist in-between uses. between the padding on the palms of the hands and the padding on the wrists We also have a variety of soft helmets for various scenarios. These include the f90 fn1 skull-shaped fn1 skull-shaped fn1 skull-shaped fn1 skull- The hayabusa t3 is a cap that is used for severe self-harm episodes. To avoid tampering with the headgear and poking with exposed fingertips, we'll switch to his lightweight kickboxing gloves when it gets really heavy. Last but not least, whenever possible, purchase mma/athletic gear rather than medical equipment for special needs. It's the same thing, but it'll set you back hundreds, if not thousands of dollars less!.

Football is a great sport for children
5/5

After losing the first pair, which I had for a year, I just ordered a second pair. Several washes and a great deal of use - They lasted a long time. Any children in the trenches will be well-protected with this item. Both sides of the ball have linebackers and linemen. Great protection that doesn't come undone.

The left side is fantastic, and the XL size is the perfect fit
4/5

The left side is fantastic, and the XL size is the perfect fit. br>The one on the right. Out of the box, the stitch between the fingers is extremely sharp and on the verge of tearing. It could be a result of poor quality control, or it could be a one-time event. br>Apart from that, I'm happy with the item.

You're doing a fantastic job, by the way
5/5

My son works as an offensive lineman for the New York Jets. You're doing a fantastic job, by the way. My son is an offensive lineman, and these are perfect for the amount of contact he has to deal with.

I got a pair of the same side guards (2 rights) when I ordered these for an event I was attending. Getting a pair of right-side guards appears to be quite common. Be careful who you buy from.

It was a pleasure doing business with you
5/5

The website was simple to navigate and provided a large selection of products. In addition, their prices were very reasonable. By a week, I received my order ahead of schedule. In today's Covid 19 climate, it came as a complete shock. Thanks.
