My daughter's air track mat fits over it, but it isn't 4 inches tall. It's exactly 4 inches high from the base to the bottom of the wood rail (where fingertips would grip around), I hope that makes sense and that this helps you out.

We needed a few key pieces of equipment to keep our daughter as fit as possible during the quarantine and while the gyms were closed, so the transition back to the gym wouldn't be as difficult. This was quickly delivered, easy to assemble, and the wood bar has a great grip that my daughter enjoyed. The bar is fantastic, and the price is very reasonable.
During the COVID Shut In, I purchased this. My daughter is a level 9, and she'll be a level 10 next year, so she needed something for home bars. This was exactly what we needed without having to spend a fortune on an entire bar system for the house! She can work on her pirouettes as well as a variety of other bar skills.
It's perfect for my 12-year-old because it's simple to put together, sturdy, and lower in height than other bars. br>br>For months, my daughter has been requesting a bar. We don't have enough room for a full-size set of uneven bars, let alone junior-sized ones. Many of the other bars I found on the internet were 8-hour establishments. 12" off the ground is a good place to start. Her practice space is in our basement, which has a total capacity of only about 7. Every inch of clearance counts with a 5' ceiling height. br>br>This bar is ideal for practicing handstands, straddle and pike holds, and switching hand positions, among other things. It was simple to put together, especially since the necessary wrench was included. The base has a good grip on the mat, and the bar is sturdy and smooth, similar to those found in gyms. br>br>Time will tell, as she only received it yesterday, but when I bought it, I relied on the only other review on this site. br>br>Updated on October 16, 2018. So far, everything has gone well! My daughter is currently off bars due to an elbow injury, but this device has held up well and will be used again once the doctor gives her the green light. It's also simple to put away, but when she's practicing skills, it stays put. This was an excellent purchase!.
It was simple to put together and worked well. Love it. It was easy to put together and of excellent quality. I have three gymnasts in my class, two of whom are practicing pirouettes. This is an excellent addition to our home furnishings, and it is reasonably priced. They will be able to use it as needed because it is sturdy and weighted.
