For the buckle to be attached securely, only 4 inches of stitching is needed. As far as the rest of it goes, it doesn't need stitching because none of it is made of synthetic material, which I think makes it so perfect. This is thick, high quality, pure leather from top to bottom. ), and still look beautiful at

I agree that they are stiff out of the box, but I was pleased to find that they were much better than the cardboard-like leather that you find Leader balsam was first applied, and I let it soak into the leather over night so as not to over soften it. They were still stiffer than I wanted, but it worked for a little while. After soaking them for a few hours in a leather oil, I then wiped them clean (I would not recommend soaking overnight unless you want them to bleed oil for a As soon as they were out of the saddles, I let them dry off for some time until the saddles were not slick and they As soon as they were done, they were perfect. It is likely that they will stretch a bit since they are pure leather and do not have a core to prevent it. In retrospect, I only regret that I did not opt for the thicker 1" version. I'm not sure what it is with the 3/4" on a 17" saddle, but it seems disproportionate.
The stirrup leathers are very reasonably priced. The olive oil in which I soaked them overnight softened them and I haven't had any It would definitely be my second order.
Leather was very stiff, but it seemed durable and long-lasting. I'm sure they will soften with continued use, but despite nearly daily use after about 4 weeks, they are almost as stiff as when I first got them. They are definitely not a luxury brand with buttery soft leather, but I'm not worried about it.
Good quality and soft materials make them a great choice. They were perfect as soon as I used the Leder Balsam on them. The leather of the saddle underneath them remained soft and supple as a result of their non-abrasive nature. It is true that they The stirrups I wore were two holes too short, so I had to raise them two inches. This would be a purchase I would never hesitate to make again. The price was well worth it!.
You did a great job on these! 5'4" tall, which is the average height for a woman, and I find it silly that these are called youth stirrups. Mostly I ride in holes #15 and 16 Approximately 17 hours (depending on your In the end, women would probably be happier in these stirrups than the "regular" stirrups, which often need to be rolled in order to make them fit. As they are not too thick, they are easy to replace on saddles too.
They were not even made from leather. It was necessary to add holes in between in order to determine the right length. This was annoying since I ordered new leathers because my old leathers started to stretch and I couldn't poke any more holes in them. This is why I like them, they are light and thin. The samples I received are not guaranteed to last long. Since the weather has been too cold for riding, I have not used them much.
It was ordered 1" wide, but the tag said 1" width, and it was not actually 1" wide. 2) Returned without ever even opening the box.
It looked good, the color match was OK, and the leather was soft. While I had conditioned the night before, I did not do any flat work today, my left stirrup leather stretched by one inch and the other stretched by two inches. The length is 5 inches. I'm a little disappointed with this purchase, so I've returned it and will be buying another pair.
