Take it easy on yourself. This is excellent- I would buy these halters again because they are of good quality for the price. The sizing, however, is a little smaller than other brands I've tried, and the large size did not fit my warmblood mare - I had to go with a large in the Hamilton brand, which is slightly larger. It's just something to think about when you're getting your horses fitted.
The color is a vibrant raspberry, and it's very appealing; however, I miscalculated my horse's size, and the halter is too small. I ordered a size "small horse," which barely fits my 12-year-old daughter. Quarter horse cross dun with a 13-hand age of 2 years. I ordered an average horse size and will post pictures of how it fits once I receive it. Stitching is extremely strong, the colors are vibrant, and the item will last for a long time. I'm a big fan of Weaver's non-adjustable halters.
P. My 12-hand POA fits perfectly in the halter size "small horse. ".
The only reason I gave it four stars is because the large size is enormous. It was too big for my 16'2 Andalusian, so I ordered another. I recommend ordering the average size if you have a big horse.
Soft but not flimsy or whimpy, quality halter for a reasonable price. There are two layers to this fabric. Although I am not a fan of gold, it has been determined that it is the in metal color, so gold colored metal parts are available. My friend's 15hh quarter horse gelding is a good fit for the average horse. In the vastness of the ocean, he was drowning. My friend is 16 and the large fits her perfectly. Warm blooded gelding with the 2HH blood type.
The halter appears to be of good quality, but the sizes appear to be on the large side. Based on the information and reviews, I purchased a 'large' horse size, but it is too large for my 16-year-old. 2 Missouri Fox Trotters, both with a large head! Even when I used the last loop hole, the halter was still too big, especially under the throat latch, where I was worried he'd pull it off his head. Next, I'm going to try the 'average' horse size.
Great halter for a great price, and the nylon webbing is soft and wide, so there are no buckle sores. And because the colors are bright and varied, you'll be able to find one to match any horse, and if someone loses theirs in the pasture, they'll be easy to find! (Unless, of course, you turn green. ) Without a doubt, I will purchase again!.
I know it's against the rules to leave halters on horses (or mules in my case) when they're turned out, but ICE I'd like to be able to quickly retrieve and secure them. These halters are durable in all weather conditions, but they stiffen over time, so I replace them on a regular basis. I choose the brown color because it blends in with the "scenery" and it is large enough to cover fly masks. Please continue to make the brown color - They're more difficult to come by for some reason.
OMG! This thing is a BLAST OF NEON COLOR. The color combination is fantastic. It's different from the sea of neon pinks and greens around it. In the field, there is a lot of visibility. The quality is excellent; however, it runs large; my son has an average head size, and I could use a few more holes, but it's fine as is.
