I adopted a puppy and have been keeping him on a long leash INSIDE the house until he has earned the right to roam freely. Otherwise, he'd sneak into the music room and use the restroom without being noticed. or worse. He'd bought a 20-foot cotton dog training lead from a local pet store, and because he's made up of about half teeth, he chewed it through in 20 minutes. I wanted something more substantial, and since I already had this, I went with this. It's much softer to hold than a cotton or rope leash. It doesn't have a loop at the end, which is important if you're using a 1200-series processor. A safety feature is the pound horse. However, isn't the end extra thick (duplicated fabric)? So, whether you're lunging a horse or letting your dog get his zoomies out, you'll be able to tell when you've reached the end of the lead. br>br>Obviously, this is way too much for my application (a 5-minute video). month- old 30- Puppy (pound). However, if I still had my horse, I would gladly sell it for the price and quality it offers.
I did cut off the extra heavier end piece (about 2 ft), so it's now 15 feet long. It's very light, the clip is light, and it's not too heavy on her nose. It's made of super soft cotton, but it has enough grip to keep it from slipping. br>I don't know how long it will last, so we'll see.
This is an excellent length for lunging or horse training. For her first farrier visit, my Weanling was cruelly twitched and restrained, rearing and panicking when touched. She's progressing quickly with this lead and Monty's dualy halter, and I'm able to move around if she's frightened. This lead can be seen in action at Monty Roberts Online University.
The best line I've ever used, and I've tried a lot of thembr>comfy and in, and simple to handle.
Much easier to handle on horseback for ponying than braided rope of comparable length, and much better on the hands than nylon webbing. But it's not light. As with all Monty Roberts products, this one is high-quality but affordable.
Aritritis in my hands is very manageable. I wish it came in a longer BLK to match the Cob dually halter I'm about to order.
When it's dragged through dirt and weeds, the weeds don't stick to it like they do with other lines I own. Monte, you are welcome.
All great.
