I have no idea what a bull snap or a trigger bull snap are. My package arrived exactly as shown in the photo.
We didn't order the black one, so please accept our apologies. However, that is an excellent question.
It's about an inch and a half thick. It's what I use on all of my horses.

The design of this leash has flaws, but it has potential. On the plus side, the material is soft and comfortable to hold, and the ability to tie knots in it to "personalize" your grip is useful. The snap is sturdy and reliable; however, the disadvantage is significant, and if not addressed promptly, you may find yourself holding a rope that is no longer attached to the snap on your dog's collar! The snap is attached by weaving the ends of the various colored ropes back through the woven lead after passing them through the metal ring. The tucked under ends of the various color ropes began to come loose after about 6 weeks of use in my case, unraveling the snap attachment. A few proactive transfixation stitches would have likely kept it whole if I had noticed it earlier. However, because it had unraveled quite a bit by the time I noticed it, I wrapped some cord around it, which should suffice. Do yourself a favor and reinforce the snap connection before it unravels if you buy one.
This is a good starting point. The colors were the main reason I bought it. The rope is soft and light, and when it arrived, it was fraying on both ends. This is easily fixed by wrapping waxed bead cord around the ends to form a cylinder that holds the threads in place, greatly extending the life of cotton ropes. This rope has very little "feel," but after a year of use, I prefer it to heavier treeline. It lasts about a year of daily use with minimal maintenance.
That is all there is to it. Never in a million years would I bet on a piece of string vs. a horse. I intend to return.
We bought it for our walker hound because he likes to pull us along when we go for a walk. His veterinarian advised that we investigate this style lead for him. I have to say that this has saved my hands from being torn up even more by regular dog leashes. I adore how strong and soft it is, regardless of how hard he pulls on it.
I was disappointed that the lead rope did not include the leather piece at the end. If the black one doesn't come with the leather piece, I'm not sure why it's more expensive. Anyway, I took it out of the bag, used it today, and it now appears to have been in my possession for about ten years. Fraying has begun, but it will suffice for the time being. I was dissatisfied with my purchase and will most likely not purchase again.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of the product. It appears to be unraveling near the snap after the first few uses. I'm not going to use this rope again because it was designed for a yearling filly who still hasn't learned how to behave on the ground. I'm not going to take the chance of her discovering her rope-breaking abilities. I would not advise anyone to purchase this rope unless they intend to replace it within a few weeks.
I was looking for a lavender cotton lead rope in this specific color and couldn't find one. It has a nice length and is extremely soft. It's a nice compliment to my white donkey.
In addition, it isn't particularly pink. It's now completely dark.
