Questions & Answers
It would fit a smaller breed (arabian, etc.) or a younger horse, though measurements are difficult to come by. This isn't made for a pony or a miniature horse.
I purchased a horse in the size of a small. Hes 13. 3 with a small head It all depends on the size of the head; arabs tend to have smaller heads, so average should suffice.
The large size is for warm blood horses, and for a 1,300 pound adult Clydesdale, we'd recommend a Draft halter!
The sizes are Small, Average, and Large, respectively.

The patterns on this halter are stunning. To make this a breakaway halter, I purchased the Weaver quick release leather kit for an extra $9 (three in the package). I've only had it for a day, but my farm's other boarders have already complimented it. I bought the average for my 16hh Standardbred mare; it's a little small (I usually have it on the last hole settings), but I think the large horse size was too large. The pattern's longevity will be determined over time, but Weaver halters are known for their durability. In any case, I'm a fan!.
The pattern itself is slightly hazy, but only when viewed closely, and not to the point of being distracting or negative. The nylon is supple and easy to work with. I'm not a fan of halters that are too stiff, and this one isn't one of them. This halter has received a lot of positive feedback! It's very special and lovely. The hardware is sturdy and of excellent quality. For a Quarter horse/ Mustang cross, my horse's head is rather large, and the average size fits him just fine. I believe in Weaver as a great brand.
I expected this halter to last as long as any other Weaver halter I'd bought before, and I paid extra for the pattern because I wanted it to look nice. After a month of being exposed to the sun on and off, the black nylon has faded to the point where it appears red. It's fraying and looking terrible after 7 months. This isn't even something that is used on a regular basis. So buy it if you'll only use it occasionally and keep it inside, away from the elements.
The brass parts are extremely strong and durable, and the stitching is well-done and securely sewn. The colors are vibrant and the design is stunning. The halter is very soft and not at all stiff. Recently, catching my two-year-old colt has been difficult. I got this new halter, and he was easy to catch in my pocket, so I'm guessing he gives it a five-star rating as well. The quality is excellent, and I am very pleased. It's the perfect fit for him, and I love that we can tweak it to make it even better.
It's fine; the only reason I gave it four stars is because I have a fairly average 15. A thoroughbred with a head size of 3hh and a head size of average. He'll be able to fit in this if it's not too small - We've completed all of the remaining holes. He isn't even close to being bulky or big. His head is more refined than that of some TBs, and he is well-boned. In the tack room, among the other halters, the serape color stands out.
The head and myzzle can both be adjusted. I have a lovely AQHA with a babydoll head that I purchased in cob size (small) and it fits perfectly. The colors are bright and beautiful! I'm using scotch guard because it's said to fade quickly. I don't leave halters on my horses for long periods of time, so this is unlikely to be an issue.
I was having trouble finding my package, and Blaine at Tack Shack was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my inquiry. They were gracious and kind even when it turned out to be my front office's fault! br>br>Quality of the halter is excellent. It has a nice feel to it, is simple to put on and adjust, and the clip is sturdy and long-lasting. I'd recommend it!.
