I have the smallest pony size, with adjustable knots. All you have to do now is experiment with it. To make the pole smaller, I tied knots around it. My minis are chunky, so I have two halters of them. I'm going to place a second order.
I've been buying halters from Clinton Anderson since 2015, as well as Knotty Girlz. It's almost the same thing. Knotty Girlz's thinner training halter is particularly appealing to me. I bought Knotty Girlz halters primarily for the colors, as I like to have a variety of colors in various sizes.
It will, in my opinion, be excessively large. Visit their website, knottygirls.com, to get in touch with them and inquire about custom orders.
My score is a 15. 2 Quarter horse in a large size with a perfect nose band. For a warmblood, I'd say extra large.

This. Halter. Now! So, what do you have to lose? Would you like to spend $60-$80 on a pair of shoes? $100 for a "clinician's" halter of similar, if not inferior, quality? With this halter, you will not be let down. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe it: excellent, superior. This color is absolutely gorgeous! Electric blue, to be exact! Imagine how it would look on a chestnut! I adore you, and I adore you, and I adore you, and I br>br>Well, we've now gotten quite a few more of these halters, haha! Since our original purchase in blue, we've added a custom sidepull fiador purple, a large black for our 16h gelding, a standard purple, and a quarter thickness in standard black. These are, without a doubt, our go-to items. to the halters The 3/16in is far superior to the 1/4in, which is too bulky for me. However, I prefer really light clothing. Oh, and a chestnut does look good in blue. ) We switched them around, giving our chestnut a blue coat and our bay a purple coat. That way, everything just looks so much better! Then it's time for me to turn green! We use these halters for everything, and despite the fact that the blue is a year old, it is barely dirty, and our bay sits back when hard tied on occasion. br>br>PLEASE DO NOT USE A ROPE HALTER WHEN PUTTING IN PASTURE. These halters are not cheaply made, and they are extremely strong and snug. If they become caught in something, they will not loosen to allow the horse to escape. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please.
I probably bought a knotty girlz halter 6 years ago and then bought another shortly after to have two colors. . . they are my FAVORITE halters ever and I'll never buy another brand (not that you need to because they last forever). I got them because I have a stubborn and lazy horse who refuses to move forward; I'm not saying the halter cured him; it took a lot of hard work, but the halter was instrumental in giving me the extra nose pressure I needed to encourage him to do the right thing more quickly than with a traditional nose band. What I love most about this halter is that it is super durable and the large literally fits any horse plus you can wash it with soap and water. I have one horse and I recently purchased four more. . . three as gifts because I am disappointed that others are unaware of how wonderful this halter is, and one because I adore the neon orange color. Thank you, knotty girlz, for creating such a wonderful product!!.
Unless you're dealing with arabians, morgans, or other horses with extremely delicate heads, I'd recommend going up a size. br>br>That disclaimer aside, I adore this halter. My farm was being dragged around by a large, boisterous foal (now a weanling). This halter is only worn for leading, as opposed to his regular leather halter, which is used for general handling, tying practice, and other activities, but it has made a huge difference in his attitude and respect for being led. It provides a high level of control and demands respect without resorting to chains or other forms of restraint. br>br>It is quite thin and stiff, but flexible. It's a little thinner than most of the other rope halters I've bought, but it's strong enough to hold a tantruming weanling. I use it with a 10' lead rope made of pima cotton (Dura-Tex). It's a great training tool that Tech sells for around $10.
I received this today, four days ahead of schedule, and I am very pleased with it. For my 1/2 draft, a large is the ideal size. When we practiced her training commands with this halter today (she's currently doing ground work and getting close to being able to ride), she was extremely responsive. I tried it on my other 1/2 draft, who has a slightly larger head, and the large fit him just fine, so I ordered one of the thinker but still stiff versions for him, as he is already well-behaved.
This is exactly what the description says it is. The halter with the most bite is the thinnest rope halter on the market, and it fits perfectly. The only issue I had was getting the knot tight enough, and I had to pull a phorse out of it twice. It's just a matter of tying that knot really tight, and it'll be fine; note that this isn't the same thickness as a traditional NH clinician uses; it's thinner. It's an excellent training halter, and I can even stop a green horse in it.
She (really, I) needed a halter for more control because she was a bit headstrong. br>br>The combination of the nose knots (2) and the halter's thinness was just right. br>br>In addition, the stiffness makes it easier to move around. tying is done faster Love it!.
All of the other halters I've tried so far have been too big for my 6-month-old Tennessee Walking Horse, but I got the weaning size and it's perfect. The rope is stiff and thin, which is exactly what I was looking for in order to instill softness in my training. All of the KNots are in the correct spots- When you pull on the string, she moves. br>Please take a moment to press the button if you found this review helpful in any way. br>Many thanks.
I purchased a yearling size for my 14-hand, 870-pound pony, and it fits perfectly. I wish the nose was an inch looser, but the next size up was too big, so it fits the pony better than any of the others I've tried. I'll buy more when I need them in the future.
