These are my observations after using this bag nearly every day for several months. If you're under 180 pounds and just starting out in boxing, this bag will be a good fit for you. I'm 6'0 205 pounds and a heavy hitter, and even when I snap my punches to avoid pushing the bag, it still swings a lot, but that's due to the 80 pound weight. This has been beneficial to me because it forces me to use footwork to keep up with the movement. This bag will not move as quickly for you if you are lighter or not a heavy hitter. Look away, Muay Thai guys; this bag is canvas, and it has scarred my elbows and knees pretty badly. The bag should be mounted at a height where you will be punching at about the "T" in Everlast, as the filling settles quite a bit, the top of the bag will be very soft, and the bag will be rock hard from midway down and below. I've used the bag for ground and pound, takedowns, and throws, and it has held up well to all of my abuse. It still looks like it did when I first took it out of the box after several months of near-daily abuse. Overall, this is a good bag for a beginner or a light boxer who doesn't want to spend a lot of money.
It's perfect for boxing, kickboxing, or just getting in a good workout. This bag is fantastic! I hung it in my garage and use it to work out on a daily basis! I bought a thicker chain to replace the one that came with it, which improved it even more. I didn't notice any problems, but a friend did, so I went ahead and purchased one just in case. It was purchased at Lowe's. Great bag that can take punches well and doesn't swing too badly, even when I hit and kick hard, it still gives a decent swing. I'm 5'6 and 155 pounds, but I used to fight at around 135 pounds when I competed. I really like this bag and would recommend it to others. It's a little tough, but it's not broken.
Lov it! Great bag for boxing and MMA workouts, as long as you use the bottom anchor to keep it from swinging too much. A ratchet strap/chain combination was used so that it could be lifted or removed by one person if necessary. Def. highly recommend.
I gave it two stars because I ordered an 80-pound bag and was not expecting it. A 70-pound bag was what I got. THE BAG IS ATTRACTIVE AND FUN TO KICK. However, I am extremely dissatisfied. Even if you weigh 80 pounds, 70 pounds would be a breeze.
This is an excellent product that does exactly what it should. The bag appears to be sturdy, and the seams appear to be well-made; I'll keep you updated as I use it. The only reason I docked a star was because it took three weeks for the package to arrive at my residence. It was misplaced several times during the FedEx delivery process. It took a long time to arrive, but it did! During this time, Amazon was not particularly helpful.
Emoji with a thumbs up. It has a lot of weight. It's nothing more than a bag. Almost everything a heavy bag could possibly need. The chain length, swivel, and carabiner clips are all included.
Because the previous one broke and could not be repaired, I purchased this one. I hit it twice in a row and noticed the threads had popped up at the top on the second night, and it got worse every time I hit it. I'll say that this customer service promptly refunded my money, and I immediately went to the Everlast website and purchased a leather (Pleather) similar to my previous one.
Overall, I was very pleased with the quality. It was exactly what I had anticipated. There's even a loop at the bottom in case you want to buy a weight to keep the bag from moving around. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. If anything else happens, I'll let you guys know.
