Please read the following for filling tips. Great bag, but it took some trial and error to fill it. To fill this, I first purchased Vigaro shredded rubber mulch from Home Depot. It's easy to settle it down to 9 bags. Each bag weighs approximately 20 pounds, bringing the total weight of the filled bag to more than 180 pounds. Because it was too heavy and hard, I dumped it all out and replaced it with a mix of rubber mulch and low-density foam (not memory foam). I used a low-cost foam topper from Target to line the bottom half and rubber mulch to fill the middle. I filled the upper half of the bag with a mixture of rubber mulch and approximately 4"x4" cut pieces of low density foam, mixing it as thoroughly as possible (you might be able to get this foam as scrap from a foam/upholstery store). After the rubber mulch had settled for a while, I topped off the top 1' or so of the bag with only low-density foam to keep it in shape. br>br>In the end, I had a bag that weighed around 150 pounds and had some give to it when I kicked it. Because I used low-density foam, it felt like I was kicking a thigh rather than a solid object.

I looked into what I could put in it. Rubber mulch worked best for me because I used to train at a gym that used sand, and the sand started to leak out after so many kicks from wear and tear. As a result, the best option is rubber mulch. If you're on a budget, I recommend using torn-up clothing. I thought 7 bags of rubber mulch would suffice, but it took about 9 bags to completely fill it once it had settled. I'm pleased with it; it's a must-have for any Martial Artist, from the novice to the seasoned veteran in this wonderful sport. br>br>Build quality is excellent, with a nice thick zipper at the top.

The black/red bag does not look like it does in the picture. It has black leather and white lettering in the traditional style. I bought them because the picture showed red leather and yellow lettering, which matched the colors in my gym. They're being returned because they aren't what they claim to be. Fairtex, on the other hand, has excellent quality.

This "pole" bag will only go around a pole if it can be unfastened. As far as I'm concerned, it's misleading advertising because the vast majority of poles that anyone would want to use are locked. Because the manufacturer couldn't be bothered to make it wrap around, I'm not going to disconnect my house from the basement support pole just to install this trash. Ray Hanas' pole bags are real.

This is an excellent bag. I stuffed it with sand and old clothes myself. Use the Spyder 200 mount and it will last a long time.

I bought it unfilled, and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. Filling is a breeze. Hanging is a breeze. Leather that is extremely long-lasting. The zipper is excellent, as are the straps. This bag is both inexpensive and well-made.
