Hi Pepi. I haven't decided yet. Because it isn't one of those super hard bags, it is likely to have a liner. I can comfortably hit it with my bare hands and feet. I hope this has been of assistance.
The mount to which the bag is attached is what causes the bag to spin, not the chains. The bag must be attached to a stationary or swiveling mount, and the chains must be tight enough to prevent them from spinning together. The bag is not secured to the floor by any lower chains.
Nope. Neither are present in the bag.
It'll work out fine for you. Hang it so that it's about an inch off the ground if you don't want it to swing too much. It will expand from your kicks and anchor itself to the ground after a few weeks. They also make ground mounting accessories to keep it in place.
Selected User Reviews For Ringside 100-pound Muay Thai Punching Heavy Bag, Black
I loved this bag at first, but after a few months of light use, I noticed some stitching separating from a seam near the top of the bag. They would want to accommodate the customer in some way, I reasoned, because it was obviously a manufacturer defect. My assumptions were incorrect. They said they couldn't help me because it had passed their limited warranty period and I was on my own. Unfortunately, providing uncaring customer service will result in negative publicity. Sorry, Ringside, but you might want to double-check your quality control standards and look after your once-dedicated customers.
So, I got this bag on Wednesday, hung it up, and it appeared to work. Until my 12-year-old entered the room and informed me that there was something hard protruding from the center. From the outside, I noticed something long and hard, as if it could pierce the skin. When I opened it up, there was clearly fabric fill (bad) with a bunch of trash mixed in, as well as an unpleasant stench. a massive stick This isn't going to go well.
It depends on your level of expertise. Advanced users will appreciate the softness of this bag. This is a fantastic bag for anyone from a beginner to a more advanced user. Without wraps, the bag's skin is soft enough to punch. Make sure your knuckles aren't too swollen. Strong roundhouse kicks, side kicks, and spinning back kicks, on the other hand, will fold this bag in half in seconds. Make sure the bag has a good swivel so it can turn without developing uneven spots. Chains and a large snap-on closure are included. link. UPDATE: Some of the stuffing is settling after about a week of hitting this bag, which is actually a good thing. When I first got it, it was a little light and fluffy, but as I've used it, some of the packing at the top has settled down to the middle and bottom, and the bag has firmed up in the areas where I strike, so I gave it a fourth star.
This gives you a lot of bang for your buck. I would recommend it to anyone, and I'd like to offer a quick tip to some potential buyers: The first few hits will be more difficult. br>br> When compared to some of the other name brands I'm used to at MMA gyms, I felt like I was sacrificing a little quality by purchasing it. However, after a few good sessions, this thing feels more like a heavy bag than a trunk. And things are going well so far. The construction appears to be of good quality.
The bag itself appears to be both comfortable to hit and well-stuffed (no latex or leather name "patches" sticking out to scrape knuckles on). It even has a zipper on the top so you can stuff it later if necessary. It's also comfortable to kick without pads (I get it to swing about 30 degrees on a good kick, so it gets a lot of use). My I-br>br>I-br>I-br>I-br>I-br>I- I hung it from a beam that is 90 inches off the ground, which is just enough room. I don't mind if the bag is slightly tilted (allowing it to drag adds a little more resistance to swinging), but an inch or two more would be ideal if you have the room. br>br>I cut it down to two chain links and a carabiner per sie, which seems like a good length. I went ahead and added.
Returning this item will cost you more than $50 on Amazon. The bag is longer than 72", rounded at the bottom, and requires a length of chain at the top, making it incompatible with an 84" stand. Maybe I should have known, but I'd just return it. But I'm not going to pay more than $50 to return it. As a result, I'll simply leave the review and move on. The bag's quality does not appear to be excellent, but I have only had it for a short time.
So far, the quality has been excellent. br>I used my pullup bar to hang this. Because this bag is so tall, especially when you factor in the length of the chain, this setup might not be suitable for everyone. My pullup bar is very high up because I'm 6'2". To hang on my bar, I need to leap up. Even so, the bag is about 2" off the groundbr>br>If you're shorter than 5'11", you'll probably want to buy a support specifically for your bag rather than repurposing your pullup bar. Yes, I must consistently hook and unhook the bag from the bar each time I want to do pullups, but it is actually quite simple. The punching bag is extremely tall, which is a bonus. So it's only 4 inches off the ground for me. While I'm hanging it, I place it on a small brick I have. After that, I take the brick out of the way. The bag is 2 inches above the ground when it is finished. It doesn't take much effort if you can lift the 100-pound bag four inches off the brick. br>br>When compared to standard punching bags, which are about 2-inches in diameter, This one is a lot easier to hook on and off by yourself because it's 3 feet off the ground.
It was impossible for me to believe what I was hearing. In fact, I almost passed it up because I assumed it would be junk for such a low price, but I was mistaken. br>Delivery was prompt, and the items were wrapped in a canvas drawstring bag before being boxed. I was ecstatic to discover that it also came with everything I required. It's dense enough to withstand heavy kicks and strikes, and it's perfectly packed. I'm very pleased with myself.
