I would recommend fairtex sp3. There is no way to go wrong. It was a good decision. Metal clips should go on the inside of the shins, your straps should be tightened above and below the wide part of your calf muscle - Position them correctly and you won't need to worry about them moving. Make sure the straps are It may seem that these are a little expensive, but they aren't, so that's what I like. It seems to be the right way to wear them. I really like it. The straps are long enough for me, even though I have big calves (small pecker though).
The small size fit my shins and instep well (I got a small). I have many shin guards (Top King, Hayabusa, Twins, Revgear) but these fit the best. They provide great protection, they are well made and do not move around too much when sparring. I wear size 7 shoes and I always had problems having an instep that was too big until I tried these.
After reviewing the size chart, I bought the "large" pair, but the fit isn't right for me. (I have a height of 6 feet and a weight of 180 pounds. There was a gap under my knee leaving a few inches of exposed skin on top of my shin. It also did not fit below my calf muscles nicely, which I disliked. As a result, I find it easy to get lost. I think they might have worked better if I had ordered the xl, which is supposed to be for people over 6'1". The shorts I sold to the kid who was 5'8" seemed to be a hit with him. While the padding may not be adequate for hard sparring, it does feel adequate. It was the Venum Predator shinguards that I ended up buying. Shin guards should be tried on before buying and the size chart should not always be followed.
