Is skintex leather what it seems to be? What kind of leather is that? Is it a proprietary synthetic or ?

They are synthetic leather hybrids, and I will say that they are very durable. I have 3 pairs of them, and all are still like new, and I use them 3 times a week for kickboxing.

Are they long enough to ?

The size of your feet will determine the size of your shoes. In reality, though, your toes should be pointing down when you kick. The soles will not cover them enough to prevent you from jamming your toe if you kick improperly.

These are the shin guards I should have bought from the very beginning
5/5

I used two separate pairs before I bought Can you explain? As a student, I was looking for ways to save money, so I figured I couldn't be that much worse off than those who bought more expensive guards.

I acquired a pair for $20. I found it to be thin and light. At first, I thought I was on to something, but it was a hard lesson to learn at my Muay Thai class. I was KILLED on my shins. Two years later, no benefit was gained from that little padding There are 3 weeks left. It would bruise my shins and I would feel pain for days afterward whenever I touched them.

So I bought a pair for $50. Basically, there was no padding anywhere else on these. They were much fancier and had a good amount of padding on the shin area. As I learned in a few more Muay Thai classes that it is best to protect your WHOLE leg, I had to learn to protect my whole leg the hard way again. A little part of the shin area moved to the side and exposed all my shin, so I ended up in really bad shape. The instructor kicked me in the shins with over 7 years of experience, and I nearly broke my leg. I had to withdraw from training for a few weeks since the shins on my instructor's feet were much thicker than mine. This is where these shin guards come in. You are right! The cost is high, but they are worth it. You are right! It's been a few months since I experienced a problem. You are right! I like how they fit. You are right! You'll be protected from head to toe. You are right! If your classmates are messing around, you can kick them out of class Without thinking about injuries, the instructor teaches. The fact that I was cheap led me to spend $70. Be yourself. Don't make the same mistakes I made. We all deserve to have our bodies protected as best as we can. Smart thinking is the key.

These shin guards are excellent, but be sure to know your size
5/5

The shin guards are very good quality. It was too big for me, so I had to return them and get the medium size. I'm 5'11" and my shins measure The distance from my top to my bottom is 5 inches A measurement from the bottom of my ankle to the bottom of my knee cap when my foot is bent at an ankle joint (approximately 16 inches when seated with my knee bent at a 90 degree angle) Using both measurements, have the foot at a 90 degree angle with the shin. It was painful to have the straps on the larges dig into the back of my knees. To put it another way, they were too large. Despite its claims, the website does not provide proper guidelines for measuring. AVOID LAPS THAT ARE TOO BIG OR TOO SMALL! Occasionally, they are out of stock, and I had to wait a couple of months to get a smaller size. Even so, the quality of these can be excellent with the right size. The price was well worth it.

I love it
5/5

It was too late though, I had to return the items. From the moment they go on, you can tell they are of the highest quality and offer protection. They feel a bit heavier than other pads, though. There is a small but noticeable difference. Though they are big and bulky, somehow they sit closer to your shin than you might think. Most of the people here have expressed their reasons for returning them as well. It digs into the back of my knee to the point where it makes them unwearable for me. I am 5'4" tall. You may not think it's such a big deal until you try moving around and The weight added is almost perfect, despite the extra length. Because of the strap at the top, they are not recommended to vertically challenged people. My choice was to "downgrade" to the Challenger shin guards, and those are better for me than the Magnums. Lightweight and protecting at the right level, they are great. With no fear of feeling it, I can kick quite hard. It was a tight battle between these two models who didn't move an inch.

Weight is light, and the earphones are comfortable
5/5

When I opened the boxes, the first thing that I noticed was how light they were! This pair of shin guards is so much lighter than other shin guards while also having great padding. In addition to looking and fitting great, these are also very durable. You can move freely with the foot protection because it doesn't dig into your foot. It would have been better if I had bought these when I first started training. I prefer these over Fairtex, Sanubul, or Topking. Wear spats under these if you don't want the ankle strap to irritate you.

I like it, however it rubs against my In class today, I wore these for about five to ten minutes as I did a strike set
4/5

As a result of the hight of the strap above the calf, I developed a bruise/abrasion on the back of my knee. In order to check a kick, you have to lift your knee high causing the strap to cut into your tendons pretty hard. You can see my old cheap premier brand in the picture to get an idea of what I'm used It would have been nice to have slightly higher knee protection, however the straps are way too long in the larges for me to go up another size, and I definitely could still feel the kicks cutting through them. My original expectation was that they would be better than my cheapo set, but I am not sure they would be worth the money.

Protection of the highest order, zero shift
5/5

The night before the game, I had been using cheap shin guards. I eventually gave in and purchased Even when practicing leg grabs, they stay tight and do not shift to the side. In an interview with Venum customer service, I asked about the differences between the different models, and they replied that Elite models are made in Thailand, while cheaper Predator and Challenger models are My knees have not been rubbing at all at the back of the knee from the upper strap like some people have complained, but I use tights for practice and have not practiced with shorts and bare legs yet. In the past I've been elbowed several times by a beginner who did not know how to do a reinforced block effectively to counter a kick and kept flaring It was so easy to feel nothing because these absorbed so much impact, and his elbow was fine.
