Questions & Answers

Is this tape meant to help with sagging skin on the face?

I was on the verge of death (and then miraculously recovered). The skin on my neck was suddenly saggy (I'm not that old yet) after the illness (I lost 50 pounds in two months). So, until I can pay off my hospital bills and save for neck work, I use this to tighten the skin on my neck when I have to go somewhere and see people who aren't aware of my illness. It holds up well under normal conditions, but if you sweat a lot or turn your head a lot, you'll need to adjust or reapply it. As a result, I always have a small roll in my purse when I go out.

Is this a piece of fabric or a piece of medical plastic?

This is a piece of medical tape made of plastic.

Is this attractive and water-resistant?

Not in the least. That sticky, thick sports tape works best for waterproofing. Sports tape, on the other hand, should not be used if it is extremely harsh on your skin and even peels it off.

I'm looking for a medical tape that will keep bandages in place for a long time. Will this tape do the trick? I can't move because I'm in a wheelchair, but my bandage needs to be kept in place. ?

Because this tape holds so well, I ended up replacing it with paper tape. It was painful to remove the hair because it ripped it. My skin is thin, and after it was removed, it left red smooth marks on my skin. I believe it removed a layer of skin. So, if you're looking for adhesion, this is the product for you. It's both durable and water-resistant. Best of luck to you.

RN believes that it is far superior to paper tape
5/5

I'm a registered nurse, and this is by far my favorite tape of all time. It's simple to tear into neat straight edges in either direction (no scissors required), and it won't irritate your skin. br>If you use alcohol on sensitive skin or children's skin, it will easily come off. Tape comes off as easily as a wet napkin when rubbed with alcohol swabs. The glue is gentle, and rubbing this tape with an alcohol swabbie will completely dissolve it. Most people won't have to do that because the tape peels off easily, - If you have a child, however, they are afraid of tape and will simply rub it with an alcohol swab. I've had a lot of clients tell me how much they enjoy this tape. br>This Transpore tape is WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO br>Paper tape has to go; it's way overrated, but TRanspore tape is the best of all time. This has been used on people for decades with no rashes. br>I also like how this tape adheres well to edges and corners, which is useful for things like taping a tube to skin. It has some water resistance. proof- ish, and can hold in drainage and prevent water from getting under tape to some extent, but not entirely, as other tapes can. It's also convenient to use around the house because it doesn't require scissors or a dispenser, and it removes with no residue.

Toledo, what a city! This tape is fantastic! Other 1" clear medical tapes pale in comparison

It is, in fact, in a class by itself. br> | specific adhesion observations |br> • it adheres well even if the skin isn't freshly washed. br> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres "very well" to itselfbr> • it adheres " Waterproof is likely to be resistant! • It "doesn't" maintain great adherence to skin when there is a lot of movement, such as in joint areas, hands, fingers, high skin movement areas, and so on, but it is still pretty good. This is due to the fact that the skin is flexible but lacks the lengthwise elasticity needed to move freely with such skin areas. • It did not stick well while swimming and came off in a matter of minutes. It is most likely due to the chlorine because it sticks well while showering. br>br> | other non-toxic substances Observations on Adhesion |br> • It tears VERY easily, bi-directionally. No scissors are required when working in this direction, and the bi-directional method is very effective. • it breathes well, thanks to the microporous/Transpore Surgical designbr> • it has minimal stretch, but good tensile strength, which is why it does not adhere well at joints or areas of major skin movement, but it is still pretty goodbr> • it is very thin, soft and flexible. gentle, very comfortable, and adaptablebr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> We discovered that this tape was identical to this one, albeit with a different label;  .

It's effective, perhaps too effective for some, but it's filthy
3/5

I needed something to keep my dressings in place, so I bought this tape. The tape did not disappoint in this regard; the adhesive is extremely strong, and those with sensitive skin will find it far too aggressive. It leaves a sticky residue on the skin, which is difficult to remove. I discovered that using nail polish remover speeds up the process and eliminates the need for harsh scrubbing on the skin. This is fine by me because I was looking for a way to keep my dressings in place while I went about my day, and this worked well. The fact that they arrive in a zip lock bag, as if they were removed from a bulk package, is my main issue with them. While I have no objections to the seller selling a bulk pack, I do object to the seller failing to keep these items clean. My package arrived with specs and particles stuck to the sides, as if it had been handled on a dirty surface. Because some of the adhesive from the tape seeps through to the sides, they will pick up everything. That is the biggest letdown for me. It gives the impression that the tape isn't in perfect condition. Given that this tape is primarily used for medical purposes, I find this peculiar and slightly irritating. The tape, on the other hand, is extremely effective.

Medical tape is as dependable as it gets
5/5

This tape has been in my possession for several years. This is essentially duct tape for medical purposes. br>I used this tape to keep 5"8" gauze pads in place on leg wounds and it worked great. br>I've used this tape to secure microphones to my face (while wearing stage make-up). It held up well to a lot of sweating and harsh lighting. br>I used this tape to keep my car's rear blinker on for over two months, through rain, SoCal heat, and freeway speeds, and it performed admirably. br>As long as this stuff is still available, I'm not going to buy any other kind of medical tape.
Cons: br>If you put this where you have hair, it will take away your hair. If you have sensitive skin, this will be painful to remove. If you have skin, this will be painful to remove. This will leave a residue on your skin that will last for several days.

A confession: I'm a sucker for a good product
5/5

I bought this to replace the more expensive custom-cut wrinkle treatment/prevention strips. Even though those are reusable, this one works just as well and is cheap enough to be disposable, making it much more convenient. In addition, it is non-irritating to sensitive skin. This is an excellent product.
