I've never had a problem with tape residue, but oil will get rid of it. There are oil-based products on the market. Pads that have been infused and are ready to use. It could also be done with baby oil. I hope this information is useful.

I use this tape for mycology and find it to be very effective.
This is a great way to breathe through your nose at night. You can wrap a long piece of gum around your mouth and it will stay in place. It is, however, extremely sticky. Before I put it in my mouth, I stick it to the pillow case a couple of times. In the morning, go slow and steady. On one occasion, I tried to do too much too quickly and hurt my lip. The same piece can be used two or three nights in a row. It will come off easier the second time, and by the third night, it will be falling off on its own.
Medical tape is what it is. It tapes well, as one would expect from a good tape. Tape, this will suffice. That should be sufficient.
