Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use the same exact size transpore tape for this?

I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

In tapemicrons, what is the pore measurement unit?

Yes, most of the time it's microns.

Is this tape more like paper, plastic, or cloth than it is like paper?

Yes, it's paper, and it can be easily torn from the roll by hand or cut with the serrated edge of the blue plastic frame that holds the tape roll.

What is a good solvent for removing adhesive residue that remains on the skin after the tape has been removed?

I use an adhesive remover wipe, which you can purchase on Amazon as well. They do a fantastic job.

It's ideal for taping the corners of your mouth
5/5

This is ideal for nighttime mouth taping. There was never quite enough stick with the 1" width; With it, my mouth would always find a way to open. The surface area of the 2" is just right. In order for the stickiness level to stay in place overnight, it must be high enough. I was even able to repurpose the item with no problems. My sensitive skin has not been harmed by the lack of stickiness on my face.

This is a difficult task
4/5

If you have sensitive skin, this is a great option. Because the paper tape I had wouldn't stick after my nose surgery, I ordered this. My skin is delicate and thin. As you can see in the photo, removing it caused irritation to the skin around the eyes. I won't be able to use it.

It's not a good idea to tape your mouth
3/5

On normal skin, this tape is fine, but on the lips, it is too harsh. I tried sticking it to my arms several times to reduce the amount of adhesive, as well as putting a light coating of coconut oil on and around my mouth before using it, but when I removed the tape, it peeled at my lip skin. br>br>The only mouth taping product I've discovered is: It's incredibly gentle and simple to get rid of. I only wear it during the day for working out and around the house, so I'm not sure how well it would sleep. The price on Amazon is comparable to that of my local supermarket (Vons). However, it is still much less expensive than the special mouth taping stickers and performs the same function.

DOES THE GLUE WORK? NOT
3/5

COME. OFF. SKIN. as well as penetrating the paper This tape is a complete nightmare. I had a roll of 3m paper tape from 2012 that stayed on my feet and came off cleanly, so I read the inside of the roll, typed in the name, and assumed this tape would be the same. I read reviews that said it was simple to remove it and that the seller recommended soaking it in water before removing it. Great! It's not simple to get rid of. br>br> All I can think is that either 3m changed the formula drastically, or that my own 7-year-old son changed the formula drastically. year- The "age" of an old tape was pleasant. br>br>To hold cracked foot callouses together, I use tape. I use it a lot while running and doing other workouts, and I have to say, this tape stays put. It'll even keep working while I'm showering. br>br>The issue is that it does so through industrial-scale methods. glue with a lot of strength There are some glues that stick to everything. My tile and hardwood floors are covered in prints. br>br>It WILL come off if I try to remove it before showering. NOT. COME. OFF. It does, however, move slightly, indicating that the glue is being squeezed out from beneath the edges. The glue permeates the paper as well, making the entire surface sticky. So, even if I decide to keep the tape on, I end up with sticky footprints all over the place. br>br>In response to a customer's question about how to remove the tape, the seller stated that it should be soaked in water first. When wet, the part peels off very easily. The majority of the glue, however, is left on the skin. br>br>One strategy I use is to leave the old tape in place while getting out of the shower, then apply a slightly larger patch of tape to cover the old tape as well as the new outline of glue all around the previous patch. When a callous is cracked open and bleeding, and I don't want to spend half an hour trying to remove the glue, I use this method. The issue will be obvious to those who are paying attention: My feet have a fixed size, whereas the glue patch expands over time. br>br>I can't stand barefoot for more than a few seconds without cleaning glue off the floor. My socks are stuck to my feet all the time. My sticky feet dragged the bathmat around when I got out of the shower. I can't do yoga for a few days after using the tape because it covers my yoga mat in glue, which then transfers to my clothes and, of course, the glue's favorite resting place, the floor. On the plus side, rubbing the glue off the floor is relatively simple. br>br>Because I work in cosmetic chemistry, I have a lot of skin-related products at my disposal. solvents that are good for the environment Even solvents capable of removing even the most tenacious 72-hour tattoos are available. The glue will not be completely removed even if you use a waterproof mascara for an hour. The best I can hope for is for the solvent to liquefy the glue just enough for me to rub it off with a paper towel. But after a few attempts, I've decided that the effort isn't worth it: my feet are still sticky, but they're also oily, necessitating a scrub with soap and water. The method wastes a lot of resources, and the end result isn't very good: The combination of dissolving the glue and then washing it causes it to roll up into many small balls. less- Stick balls must then be picked up one by one and wiped clean with a paper towel. br>br>I use a technique based on the like-attracts-like principle with varying degrees of success. in the same way: I dispense a fresh piece of tape, place it over the glue-covered skin, and rip it off, as if I were waxing my bikini. This method usually removes the majority of the glue, but I never seem to get it all. I only get a small amount of time off on some days. How long has the tape been on my skin? Is it possible that the success of any given removal session is linked to the length of time the tape has been on my skin? br>br>All techniques must be used in conjunction with a consistent sock-tightening regimen. wearing and laying on the floor a scrub I'm starting to wonder if my washing machine is slowly accumulating glue. br>br>NOW, IF THE TAPE WAS SUCH THAT IT WAS SUPER-EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY E I'd find it a very useful product if it was difficult to remove but didn't allow glue to penetrate through it or around its edges. I wouldn't mind putting the tape on and leaving it on for a few weeks.

It's ideal for taping the insides of the mouth
5/5

I use this tape to keep my mouth shut while sleeping at night. It has improved my sleep and almost completely eliminated my dry mouth. This tape is soft, but it holds up well. I have sensitive skin and have previously had allergic reactions to adhesives, but I have had no problems using this tape for months. It likes a little residue, but it's very easy to get rid of. I don't find the dispenser to be very useful, so I cut the tape with scissors most of the time.

It arrived on time and at a reasonable price
3/5

I'm still able to make use of it. It was simply a problem with the tape's outer side. It was old, and I believe the back side of the tape was all sticky from the gummy part on the bottom of the sticky side, except for the top part of the tape that wasn't supposed to be sticky. It felt sticky on both sides of the tape from the glued part on top of the other side. It stuck, as did everything else on my bandage that came into contact with the tape. br> My bandages on my lower left leg were covered in lint, strings, and even paper. It did, however, stick. Only issue was that the double sticky side of the tape was so sticky that it wouldn't peel off the holder that came with it. My scissors and fingers were also sticky as a result of the glue. I just assumed it was old.

This is a must-have for any first-aid or bandaging situation
5/5

This is an excellent example of how a brand name can become a brand name by producing superior products to the competition. There are a lot of paper tape manufacturers out there, but I have yet to find one (and I'm a doctor) that does a better job of balancing adhesion and painless removal with breathability than the 3M product. Yes, this is exactly what we use in the hospital, and yes, there's a reason for that. If you're stocking up, you'll need some of this, as well as some plastic perforated tape (TransPore is the 3M brand if you want the real deal), and very little else.
