Edited on December 16, 2021: This seller has contacted me at least six times in an attempt to persuade me to remove this review. I reported the harassment to Amazon customer service; I would never buy anything from the seller, and no amount of money would be worth the immense amount of pleasure I get from spitting on them. br>br>Edited on May 31, 2021: In exchange for $30, the seller sent me an email with poor grammar, requesting that I delete the review. I nodded out of that immediately. br>br>After doing alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Nope. br>The wooden mallets are very light and lack "feel" and balance. Furthermore, the machining on the wooden screw in joint was so rough and uneven that I couldn't even get two of them to screw together. br>The balls give off a "ball pit" vibe. No heft. br>The plastic covers on the mallet ends are just a thin piece of plastic, not a thicker rubber, and they feel like they'll fall off. It appears to be well-made, but it is not.
I'm afraid to say that these aren't particularly heavy. I was expecting wood or a heavier material, but instead I got a plastic composite. It was difficult to attach the bottoms to the mallets because they were made of plastic and tended to peel away. br>br>With this one, I wasn't overly pleased.
The mallets in this set are very light weight and not as well made as I had expected. The handles are a good length for me. The rest of the collection appears to be excellent. The mallets, hopefully, will outlast the rest of the game.
This set appealed to me because the mallet handles are of adult length. Croquet is played at my church, and I was tired of bending over childishly. mallets of various sizes The set is black as well, making it easy to distinguish from the sets of other players. br>br>The price is reasonable, and the quality is adequate for the price; the balls are a little light, but that isn't a problem given the price. br>br>The real issue is that it came in a battered, taped-up box with half of the mallet heads out of their plastic wrapping and one missing entirely. I'll be happy with the set if I get an orange mallet head to replace it as soon as possible. Then I'll keep it, but I'll be irritated for the rest of my life. It is entirely the seller's responsibility to rectify the situation.
It was a waste of money. This item is made so cheaply that it is actually hazardous. We couldn't put the head on one croquet mallet because the handle was stripped. We forgot about it because the kids were so excited to play that we used the other mallets. I assembled it myself, so I'm confident that the heads are securely fastened. The mallet heads flew off with their swings as the kids played (normally, not roughly). A handle was also broken in half. This is a game being played by 9 and 11-year-olds. It's ridiculous. I'm sending it back right away. If you don't want to be hit by a flying mallet head, these aren't for you.
While I liked the color scheme and had high expectations for the Eucalyptus wood (which was advertised as being extremely durable), I was extremely disappointed with this set. I first noticed that the orange mallet was covered in a substance that looked like mold. Everything felt extremely light, with the exception of the balls, which appeared to be quite heavy. The wickets were thin as a sheet of paper. Then I realized that the name BroWill was nowhere to be found on the packaging. There was no branding on the box, no croquet parts, no invoice, and only a set of game instructions with a different logo on it. As a result, I began to wonder if I had received a BroWill set at all. We used the set for half of a game. It only took half a game to notice how bad everything was. Thankfully, Amazon is great about returns and, thanks to their partnership with Kohls, has made them a breeze. This set was promptly returned, and I replaced it with the GoSport. That set costs $20 and is ten times as good as this one.
This was something I wanted to do for my birthday in July. It did a great job. As a result, the sets were longer than usual. There were a lot of tall friends who required the extra inches in order to play comfortably. My boyfriend then took it camping with him in August, where they all played for a change of pace. We are delighted to have our own set with which to interact with others and spend time together. The fact that the case can hold everything without removing the Mallet heads is a bonus, as it eliminates the need to disassemble anything.
We prefer things to be in order. Our previous (old, old) set was on a stand, but this one is out of the way. In the case, everything is kept clean. The palette is vibrant. The only thing I wish was that the wickets were a different color. br>This is a fantastic set. a reasonable price.
