The wood used isn't the best - tangles a lot Even so, if it wasn't damaged, I might have kept it and tried to sand the holes out myself - However, with the side rail split and broken, it's clear that you won't be able to keep up.

Purchases should be avoided. This croquet set is not to be purchased. It's finished now. garbage with a price tag. I thought I was getting a good deal by purchasing a high-priced set. When I opened the package, I immediately noticed the poor quality of the balls. They're slick and appear to be of low quality. In the end, my family decided to play a game. The balls have been chipped, and the mallets have been damaged after just one short game. We did not abuse the equipment in any way. I was playing with a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old, both of whom are incapable of hitting hard in the first place. Even if I paid a third of the price, I'd be disappointed in the quality; it's just awful. I'm returning the set and am annoyed that I have to go through all of this trouble.

I'm a firm believer in the adage "you get what you pay for," and that belief was confirmed in this case.

That said, I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect based on a couple of negative reviews and I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect% After receiving and assembling the set, I can attest to its exquisite beauty and craftsmanship; it's one of those things that you just want to stare at once it's unpacked and set up because it's so lovely. br>br>I haven't given it to my wife yet, but I have a feeling she'll adore it. When we have a chance to play it, I'll post an update. br>br>Another point to consider. The manufacturer stands behind 100% of their product. They agreed to send us a free replacement mallet head because our yellow mallet head had a minor chip near where the handle threaded in. It was not necessary to argue or "talk to managers. " They simply said, "We'll send one out right away. " This was money well spent.

I paid about $65 for a cheap croquet set with heavy plastic balls and too light mallets, and, surprise, I got exactly what I paid for. br>br>It looked okay, but I didn't like the way it felt, so I returned it and am now waiting for my expensive Amish Toy Company set. Nearly $400 in total! br>It's stunning. The mallets are larger and heavier than the inexpensive set, and the balls are the ideal weight. The game has a great feeling to it. br>br>After making our small, flat backyard look lovely, we decided it would be a fun way to socialize and show it off, so we decided it was worth the investment. Despite the fact that our playing area is only 60 feet long, it provides a challenging and enjoyable experience.

When my eight-year-old son was eight years old, When the person 32" handle croquet set arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality and craftsmanship. The mallets are simply stunning! These mallets are made of solid maple and feature woodturned detailing that sets them apart from less expensive alternatives. It's also nice to have the extra-long handles. Our family is dominated by tall members! br>The mallets and balls have a nice weight to them, which should add to the enjoyment of the game. br>A lack of sanding in the holes where the mallets are inserted has been noted by some reviewers. Yes, you are correct. But it wasn't anything a 15-minute hand sanding with a rolled piece of sandpaper couldn't fix. To me, it's not a huge deal. br>Overall, I am very pleased with this Amish Toybox Co. set.

We frequently visit Caribbean islands, many of which have a strong British influence, and we frequently see sets that look similar to these. We've had a lot of flimsy "toy" quality croquet sets over the years, but I was determined to find a sturdy set, a large, adult-sized set, to have in our home to replicate the quality craftsmanship we've seen in Caribbean resorts. These are exactly what I needed. We are overjoyed with this set because it is beautiful and sturdy. We know it's a big investment, but we're hoping to get a lot of mileage out of it.

Overall, it's lovely, but the rings that hold the white things that go in the ground are missing, and the edges where the mallets go into the holder aren't sanded. As a result, it's lovely but incomplete. I'm not sure how to get in touch with the seller.
