They aren't pointed, but they are extremely strong and will not bend. They're 7 gauge thick, so they won't pierce artificial turf, but they won't bend.
Thank you, Larry @ AmishToyBox, for letting me know that these are white.

If you're looking for wire croquet wickets that won't bend out of shape when placed in hard ground or tripped over, these could be the ones for you. You'd have to spend hundreds of dollars to get serious regulation hoops. I compared the cost of buying this heavy or a bit heavier wire and making my own with the cost of buying them from these fine folks, and it was cheaper to buy them from them. They've met my expectations.
I remembered how much I loved croquet as a kid and bought a set the first summer of the pandemic so that my extended family and friends could have a fun outdoor activity together. The wickets, on the other hand, kept coming loose when a ball hit them, which was a constant source of frustration for us. The wickets that come with the set are standard, and they're too short and flimsy to be useful. Amateur players will struggle to succeed on regulation wickets because they are too expensive and too narrow. This set of wickets is ideal - Very sturdy, with long legs that can be pounded several inches into the ground. They bounce balls off of them, which adds to the fun of the game. These wickets are a must-have for anyone who owns a croquet set. I would buy them for anyone who owns a croquet set as a gift.
They're extremely durable and will go into the ground much more easily. They're also a lot easier to notice. They are a little more expensive than others, but the extra cost is well worth it.
These aren't the cheap coat hanger wire wickets that come with croquet sets - they're much more substantial. Wire is of a very heavy gauge, and the finish is tough.
We bought these as "extras" and to make crazy croquet courses out of them. They are of excellent quality.
The wickets are of a heavier gauge and are well-made, so they should last a long time.
The thin wire arches on our old croquet set had become misshapen over time. These high-quality replacements allow the game to be played as it should be, with all arches uniformly shaped and securely anchored in the ground.
Exactly as described in the information available on the internet. A new set of wickets will be used to replace an old one.
