I don't know what the softi 6 balls are like, so I can't make a comparison.
They're appropriate for kids of all ages. We've had the whole neighborhood over for fun dodgeball games, with toddlers and grandparents, teenagers and adults participating. The product is of excellent quality.

These are, without a doubt, the best balls I've ever found for my five rescue greyhounds. Beach balls and regular store rubber balls don't last more than a few minutes, and full-fledged soccer balls have had their leather on the outside ripped off. For the past month, these have been chased, carried, bounced off their noses, and generally abused. There are no rips, tears, or mistakes in this item. They only play with them under supervision because they are afraid of ripping one open and eating the foam inside. but wow - They don't even have a single tooth mark on them yet. They should be double coated and sold as dog toys.
The gator's skin becomes extremely loose as the foam shrinks.
The foam material is incredibly simple to throw. The balls are heavy enough to travel a long distance while remaining accurate. The material, on the other hand, is completely pain-free! We've had neighborhood dodgeball games with children as young as two and adults as old as sixty, all of whom enjoyed themselves. These balls are used nearly every time we are outside, and not just for dodgeball. Kids and adults have been pelted everywhere (face, butt, back, etc. ) and they don't seem to hurt. This is an excellent purchase. Yes, quality dodgeballs cost a little more, but they're well worth it!.
Who doesn't enjoy balls whizzing around their heads? At the very least, when one of these balls lands on your chin, it's soft and squishy, and the impact is light and pleasant. I recommend these balls to anyone looking for a good time; stand your ground and take one of these off your chin; you won't be disappointed by the refreshing sensation you'll get when you feel how much cushion they have.
I went out and bought a TON of balls - I've purchased items from Walmart, Target, and Amazon in the past, and each time I've been let down. Finally, while visiting a trampoline park with my family, we came across this ball - and we just know that THIS IS THE ONE. Toddlers and young children can use it without fear of harm. I understand that a ball is expensive, but at the very least, you get what you pay for. I spent a lot of money on a ball for my daughter and wish I had discovered this sooner.
The best part about them is that getting hurt with them is nearly impossible. My nieces are all under the age of four, and they ran around during the game without causing us any concern. You might want a ball that weighs a little more so it flies faster if you're playing with more competitive people, but we had a lot of fun with these and highly recommend them.
These were purchased to go with our trampoline because they are soft and will not twist an ankle if landed on. However, because they are made of open cell foam, they appear to absorb water when it rains. br>br>In addition, the coating is not resistant to biting and tearing by small children; we have several balls with missing foam as a result of biting and tearing. br>br>Would recommend for older children to use indoors, but not for children under the age of six.
Younger children will enjoy it. I can't say for sure how long they'll last, but they don't seem to fly very well. If you're looking for serious Middle School or Lower School players, these balls won't cut it. So . I'm giving them a score based on how well they work for me. These would be ideal if you're looking for lighter balls that don't make an impact.
