Questions & Answers

What is the country of origin of this knife?

Taylor Brands LLC created the knife and it was manufactured Despite its strength and durability, it is extremely resistant to wear and tear.

Has it been sharpened to a razor's edge?

You can probably get it to razor sharpness by honing it properly, but it is not razor sharp now. A good hunting knife, or a knife for whittling wood or cutting twine, is sharp enough to take on a hunting trip.

How does it work? Does it have springs?

You have a great question. Thanks for asking. Neither springs nor a spring assist is used. Stunningly easy to open with a simple flick of the writs and a little opening of the blade. Despite feeling firm and solid, it is also smooth. The knife has served me well for about a year, and I've shown it to other people, and it looks good as it performs.

What is the spring assistance of this knife?

This is not a spring assisted device.

Asst. Gen. I will assist. The review can be found here. The S&W is a great knife to carry for work or play. I have a couple in my collection The knives are well made and W folding knives! The folder in question is very large and sturdy, and it is produced by Smith & Wesson in the same quality they present for all of The size of this folding knife is impressive. It's one of the biggest knives I've ever owned. This is a strong and sharp phone, the only weakness is that it does not come with a spring assisted Provide assistance as a S&T team member The spring assist feature is what W brand dubs their knife. As an overall high quality knife at a great price, this knife should be on every knife collector's wish list. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and for your valuable feedback. Here is a knife you should get
5/5

It's no secret that I'm a total knife whore. The first time I bought the S&P 500 was in BG2 came highly rated both on Amazon and all kinds of knife forums. I was looking for an EDC that had not only the emergency features I needed, but was rugged and able to withstand abuse as well as some wear and tear.
Take my word for it. There was no failure of this knife, and I haven't had any since. This is not a complaint, but a tip or head's Please note I like the fact that it is pretty heavy, but was not designed or developed with finesse and/or precise cutting in mind. The folding sword is like a medieval one that can be carried around. Having said that, if you want an EDC that is just a pocket knife, you may want to look somewhere else. Please note There is a lot going on! It's okay with me too if you don't. As a big guy, I've got a lot of muscles. You may not want to get this if you have relatively small hands. With smaller hands, you may have trouble using it if you like to thrash knives like I do, and beat them to bits like I do. If you need tac gloves, consider investing in them. Please note He came at us very quickly. There are a lot of questions on the internet There are reviews that mention that this knife is not razor sharp right out of the box, and I just have to shake my head at that. There is nothing wrong with having a razor sharp EDC if you work in some line of work that requires it, or when you perform some other regular task that takes it, then that's fine. In that case, why are you concerned about a razor sharp instrument, if you do not need it every day? My experience is that people who insist knives have to be razor sharp at all times, usually end up with more scars on their hands, and lumps of flesh coming out of their hands, through accidents or not respecting the blades. The following is a rambling message. Take a look. There is nothing better than this knife. If anyone would be foolish enough to pass up this particular model even if they truly need such a tool, then they are.

Perfect for hands with large fingers! I
4/5

The problem Since I have dozens of knives and I have large hands, I was interested in this knife because I felt it would fit nicely in my hand, and it does. You have experience working with your hands and have more knowledge than how to manicure and type on a computer keyboard. The knife you are holding is a tool you will I purchased it razor sharp and it will be able to shave my * It is a solid knife for its price, and the durability is good. This is a situation you can't complain about The bearing system on this knife is not as sophisticated as those on knives costing $100+, but it still opens easily. I only have a small issue with the belt/rope cutter, which I can live with. It is possible for the cutter to knick your clothing if you are not paying attention while clipping it to your pocket, etc. However, it's not a deal breaker at all!.

It's a good one! I have been looking for an exact match for this knife
4/5

It is BIG and SOLID and does not cost a fortune to own. I just wanted to let you know S&S did not really make it Using their branding is all W does. The company that makes it is Handle with care With its textured inserts and finger grooves, the grip is extremely grippable, and it's also easy to hold. ?The grip frame is fabricated from steel, Aluminum plates and rhino lines Only one position can be utilized for holding the knife properly Face the edge away from you, with the blade up. The steel is Chinese, but is hard enough to meet the hardness requirements of the desired contractor. In the US, we would call this steel 440A when referring to blades, and the Taylor Brands website shows 7Cr17 steel as the material. There is a thick and sharp edge to the blade. The blade opens and locks into position with minimal force, one handed thanks to the thumb assist feature. When it locks using one hand, you will know it, and so will everyone around you. The blade is free of nasty marks and the coating is perfect. The blade needs to be unlocked using two hands. will be no chance of this ever being unlocked by mistake. As soon as it is locked, it is snug and solid. Take care of I haven't caught it on anything since the carry clip is solid and does not protrude far enough to catch my attention. In addition, it is fairly easy to pull the knife out of your pocket for use, since it doesn't try to get hung up in your pocket. It has been about two weeks since I carried it. Those little screws holding the clip on were loose so I took them off, applied locktite, and then reinstalled them. There has been no further loosening of the straps. By using the clip, you can also wear the knife low in the pocket so it won't be too clearly As far as fraying my pocket lip is concerned, I have not had any issues with the seat belt cutter. Although I have not used the seat belt cutter or glass breaker, I am curious about how they work. Moreover, I am not unable to carry it on a daily basis because of its weight. Though I don't mind carrying a good sized knife as an everyday carry, I might not be the same as everyone else. Finally, I want to say the following If this one fails, I may purchase another as a backup. While this knife is not at the top of the $100 price scale, the quality of what I see in it is better than what I paid. The experience of holding a knife The country, the farm, the outdoors/camping/hunting, the military, and martial arts.

This knife isn't my type for several reasons, mainly because of how tough it looks
3/5

I'm not satisfied with its quality, especially if it's going to be used for self-defense. 1). The blade is hard to open, tight and tightly bent. There is a screw holding the blade in place, which can be loosened but feels like it will fall out if done. 2) I don't like the direction in which the clip hooks up to my I keep this knife hidden in my pants, clipped to it. It is long and I prefer to keep it hidden. The knife has to be flipped if I clip it on the inside and I want the blade to come out. This is a loss of precious time when one's life is on the line.
3) I can Some of the knives in your kitchen are certainly sharper than some knives out there.
