The rings and base are nice. When I bought mediums, my Burris 4 cleared just as soon as I bought them. The result is 5 x 0. In some cases, you'll need to pay more. This varmint gun is equipped with a Rem 700 heavy barrel with a 42mm front objective. Regardless of the objective size, I imagine this would be hit by any larger than 44mm.
In my opinion, they are by far the lightest, the strongest, and the most reliable, and are very well made, and they are CHEAPER than buying separate bases and rings. It is the strongest and best design to use a one piece base/bottom ring. It is as light and strong as aluminum, but is more durable than aluminum. One ring weighs one gram. We recommend two ounces of lows and one ounce of highs. Specifically, a low and medium ring will be 4 oz (per ring including all caps and hardware). A real-life measurement will find that the difference in height between the low and medium is 7/64" (or under All of the heights have the exact same thickness of the ring and the base of the action (that extends from under the ring for the second screw). There will not be any difference in thickness between the lower rings and the upper Using a Leupold VX6-2, I mounted the scope With my new Rem 700 CDL 7MM mag (mag barrel countor/slightly thinner), I am able to fit my 12x42 onto a low 30mm ring perfectly. There was just too much space between the mediums and a 50mm OBJ scope would have been perfectly fine. The only ring I will ever purchase is this one. The machining is perfect, as can be seen by the alignment bars that were used after installation and didn't need any.
These are classic and simple, yet sturdy, and they are both practical The Rem 700 or Sauer 101 are usually mounted on these by professional reviewers. Approximately 1/10" of space is left between the barrel and the scope due to the low rings. Please note that they only mount in the configuration shown in the attached photo. An Objective with a 42mm diameter has an exterior diameter of Here are the.
A solid mount/ring for a scope of high quality. To give you a sense of the height reference, the "Low" rings work fine with a Leupold VX-300 The third point involves the third. There is a little over an 1/8" of clearance between the scope and the Remington CDL 700 rifle with a 10x40mm scope. Approximately half of the bolt handle fits perfectly between the eyepiece and the bolt handle. Between the objective end of the scope and the rifle barrel, there is even more space to spare. My particular scope has just enough room for the rings to move forward and backward in the fore/aft direction. The eye relief setting is nearing its limit as far back as it will go. It could be an issue if your scope has a shorter tube. This will definitely be a product I'll purchase again and I recommend to everyone. There have been a lot of positive comments about the Talley scope mounts There is a good reason for this. At a price that doesn't hurt, this scope mount is a great value.
I did notice that the caps were not in place. It was not clear which mounting hardware had been ordered in the initial order. When I received the replacement order, the rings fit perfectly over the action. However, I noticed the caps were not as finely machined as I would It was not possible to tighten the cap tightly enough to avoid pinning the scope body and causing damage. This was due to the interface between the cap and the ring base not being precise. The rings have been holding up well on me so far. The 30th - With approximately 30 rounds fired, it was a 2006 model.
The package that I received came missing one of the receiver mounting screws, so I can't give them a 5 star as it seems they have some basic QC issues. Luckily, I had extra screws laying around from other mounts that worked perfectly once I installed them and torqued them. I am thrilled with the fit and finish, and I especially like the additional ring screws to add additional clamping pressure to With a Leupold VX3i 3 I fitted a set of lows on my Rem 700 BDL LH 308 matched to a Rem 700 BDL LH 308 with a set of lows. The dimensions are 10x40 and it's perfect. Using factory ammunition, it is possible to shoot 3 shots within 100 yards inside a nickel.
Your taste buds will be spoilt by these. The Kimber ones I bought I liked so much that I went right out and got this set The rifle's previous set was made by a major manufacturer and I used them to replace it for 19 years with no complaints. These work well, but I was able to see this first hand when I had them mounted on my Kimber.
There are several sets I own of the excellent Tally rings. In the event of my being able to use the rings, I would have given them a 5-star rating. You could also use the second set sent to replace the first, which is why I'm giving it a bad rating. It was packaged for rem700 pattern and both packages were labeled 1in low mount. The front of each floor contained a low and the rear, a med height. My two sets of screws are different in spacing on the front and back, so I have two useless sets to send back. The bottom line is that rings are good if they are right for you.
