br>On a Rem 700 Varmint, I mounted a Leupold MK4 with a 50mm bell on a 0 moa rail and it cleared with. Between the bell and the barrel, there is a difference of 410.
These aren't the steel rings, if my memory serves me correctly. Aluminum is what they are.
The highest point is 1.25 meters.
For my 44mm VX-II, I purchased high rings. I couldn't get a low enough cheek weld to see through the scope in my CA-55 because there was less than a MM of clearance and I couldn't get a 5HD with less than a MM of clearance. Choose the super high ring or, better yet, the nightforce ultralight aluminum/titanium ring. They have a wider range of ring heights to choose from. I recommend that you try them out first in a store, bringing your rifle and scope with you to see how they fit. You should be able to find a good gun store in your area. Despite the fact that I did not purchase my rings there, I received an equal exchange from the Shooters Bench in Boise.

This item was advertised with scope does not fit, so I had to order new rings that fit. Amazon was refusing to honor my return, and the customer service representative I spoke with was completely unprofessional and a complete jerk. I haven't been able to solve the problem yet.
These rings were used to attach a Leupold Mark 5 scope to a Ruger Precision Rifle. Even with the sunshade and flip cover installed, it was a perfect fit. The scope of the project did not need to be changed. At 100 yards, I was dead on, and at 200 yards, I made minor adjustments to the zero. It keeps the scope in place without slipping. You'll be fine if you just torque the rings to the specifications that come with them; they'll fit and finish perfectly.
Medium, High, and Super High are the three levels of difficulty. Leupold's failure to provide the height in MM or Inch is extremely frustrating.
- If you have a Springfield M1A with any of the 22-inch barrels, a Springfield 4th gen aluminum Scope mount adapter, and a scope with a 56mm lens (in my case, a Mark 5HDTM 5-piece scope), you're ready to go. If your ring size is 25x56mm, you'll want to go with the HIGH Ring option.
- The HIGH rings raise the 56mm lens just enough to allow you to use the Iron sights while still using the 4th generation adapter. As a result, when looking through the Springfield peep sight at the front sight post, the bottom of the scope is barely visible in your peripheral vision. It has no effect on your field of vision in this way.
- MEDIUM rings, however, could be used. While they raise the scope above the front sight, the bottom of the scope will block your view of the area above it. Consider aiming at a moving target while your scope is magnified to maximum magnification.
- You might be able to use the SUPER HIGH rings. They unquestionably push the scope beyond the Iron Sight's field of view. Extra height, on the other hand, is never a good thing. Consider placing a scope 12 inches above your barrel if you're a new shooter. If you want to sight it in at 25 yards, you'll need to tilt your barrel up to meet the reticle. As a result, if you aim for something at 50 feet, your bullet will pass WELL above and over the target.
- Another thing to consider is the height of the scope. Your scope is always exposed, and the more rings you have, the more exposure you get. You'll hit something, no matter how careful you are.
These scope rings are extremely durable and of excellent quality. I put up a fence.
Mk 4 rings were the industry standard. br>They were solid, heavy, and didn't require lapping when used with a Warne one-piece steel rail. Two sets of Vortex rings had cross threaded screws on the first of their paired rings, and two sets were missing screws. I went back to the Mark 4's, which is where I should have gone the first time. Leupold products have never failed to satisfy me. All other rings are measured in comparison to these.
They won't align to mount my scope, and Leupold's customer service is a joke. When the service representative told my Gunsmith and me that even if the rings didn't line up, we should try mounting the scope, we were taken aback. Sure! This was my second set of Leupold Mk4 rings, and both of them were a waste of money.
There appears to be some confusion about whether these are made of aluminum or steel based on the reviews. I got the steel ones, which I really like. They're solidly built and heavy. They're simple to set up and perfectly maintain zero. Because of the weight, I wouldn't recommend it as a hunting rifle. They're perfect for going to the range and shooting prone or from the bench, and they look totally tacticool if you're part of the tacticool crowd. They appear to be a little on the expensive side, but the value is there. So. It doesn't bother me.
