There are three kinds of things in this world the good, the bad, and the ugly. It requires no special lighting to view the Laser and it can be seen well even in bright daylight. This product has a very bright light, laser adjustment screws that seem a little cheap, but a beautiful thin look and sturdy aluminum frame which makes it a good buy. The update is Yesterday I took it out and the laser stopped working after a few hours on the Initially I reviewed this light as a 4 star review, however, I must honestly update it to a 2 star review. I enjoy the light, but I need a dependable laser light combination. . . otherwise, would rate it as a solid 4. The rail can move up and down when attached to the picatinny rail.
