Questions & Answers

Does it have a waterproof coating?

There was an IP67 rating, the same as the Eotech Exp3 or iphone 12. This means it can survive for 30 minutes in water under three feet.

the low flip up mount from Troy work with it?

There's a comma missing in your sentence In your question, you mention a "witness.". In the lower third of the course, low profile irons would be visible.

What is the mechanism of solar power? Are you able to charge it with solar panel power or is it only active while the sun is shining?

Sunlight is the only source of power, so it loses all energy when the Sun is not up. As far as I'm aware, I have never tested solar power since I always used batteries. As I have read, some people claim that it is not that bright with solar only or that it would be brighter with a battery. The battery lasts for 10,000 hours or something like that, so you also wouldn't have to use the solar at all.

Eotech is almost as good! The solar system requires a battery, and the optics will work only with a special tool
4/5

The kinds of red dot sights I have used over the years include high-end and low-end ones End sights made by companies such as Eotech, Aimpoint, Trijicon, Meprolight, as well as other mid-range sights The company Holosun makes range sights, as do Sightmark, Sig Sauer, and others. It is made in China, but because its price tag is almost as high as the top-of-the-line models made in America, Sweden, and Israel, it should be compared to them. The names of American, Swedish, and Israeli brands that make up your lights (Eotech, Aimpoint, Trijicon The Eotech is almost as good as this one. The verdict is a 3, while the points are a 2. This is a 5-star rating. This is one of the better MP3 players than the Eotech XPS2. The program is free, but has a few flaws, including a few that are major. Initially, I was not sure whether to give the sight 3 or 4, but I actually really like it, so I give it 3 stars. A 4 out of 5 star rating is possible. Keep the Holosun tools in the box for when you hit the range, because your Holosun HS515C tool won't fit the Holosun HS512C, and your range bag's screwdrivers and tools won't work, A FEW POSITIVES - 1) The circle - It's fun to have a dot reticle! Reticule quality is about the same as that of the standard Eotech reticle (XPS2-). The XPS3 has a reticle of 0 A reticle with a 0 aperture, or an EXPS3-compatible reticle In the center of the reticle. This circle consists of Using the dot reticle, you can see your target very quickly and correctly. 3) If the specifications are correct, the battery life on the iPhone 6 is superb. When the circle is drawn- There is a dot reticle that has 20,000 hours, which is the equivalent of two years if it is left Unlike the Eotech holographic sights, which have a 1200 hour battery life due to their laser technology that consumes more energy, this is a much longer battery life. 1) Sit up straight, 2) Move your limbs from side to side, 3) Having a feature like awake means you can leave the sight on all the time if you want (even if you doubt that the battery will last for 20,000 hours). 4) The perfect size and weight -- not too big, not too heavy. The Eotech XPS2 and XPS3, which are both larger screens, are about an ounce lighter. It is slightly narrower and less tall than the Eotech XPS2 or XPS3, making it a good choice for guns with narrow barrels such as the Savage Model 42, lever-actions, and ram-actions. There are also full-auto rifles, such as a bolt action You can find revolvers in different sizes. This is the first time the company has not lied about the product's size and weight that I've seen in the Holosun universe. The other Holosun sights I've bought or researched operated the same way they would remove the mounting base, measure it, weigh it, and then put the mount back on, so that when the sight arrived, it weighed twice as much as advertised and was 50% larger. Due to the way the Holosun HS512C is mounted, it is not possible for the company to remove it before weighing, and the battery door does not need to be opened with any tools. I see you've figured out how to make a battery operated door that doesn't require tools for opening, Holosun- You might also be able to design a QD mount that does not require tools, as well as windage and elevation knobs that do not require the Holosun HS512C tool, which is not compatible The night vision device should be compatible with very low brightness controls, which will enable compatibility with night vision devices. This feature will be used by a very small percentage of users, but it's there if needed. Those with higher education will be considered There are two features available on higher end Eotech sights (such as the XPS3 and EXPS3) No such feature is available on the Eotech XPS2 and EXPS2. The negatives are *1) Unlike Sightmark's less expensive solar red dot sights (Sightmark Element Mini Solar and Sightmark Volta), the Holosun HS512C requires the installation of a battery to operate, regardless of how bright the light is. As a result, I believe that the solar panels on the Holosun HS512C are mostly a gimmick and a way for the reticle to be automatically adjusted. However, my Sightmark Element Mini Solar is the better sight since it has a more powerful solar panel that powers the sight even without a battery and even when the sight is turned off. Therefore the sight can be used without turning it on, except in lower light levels. 2) A hex wrench is needed to mount the device. Sites that are either quick to load or offer a quick-flash mode are my favorites An easily-detachable mounting system, such as a quick-detach mount to which a common screwdriver, coin, or adjustable wrench can be used for installation and removal. It ought to come with a QD mount given the high price of the Holosun. It sounds as if you've figured out how to make a battery door that doesn't require tools to open - HoloSun Would it be possible for you to design a QD mount that does not require any A VERY BIG minus is The HS512C is not available on a keychain and there is no way to zero it without a special tool. There was no way I could use my Holosun HS515C tool with this new sight, nor could I use As I took it to the gun range to sight it in, I neglected to bring the box it came in, which contained a special tool for adjusting the windage and elevation knobs, but did not have a hole Then I thought, "No big deal, I always have every tool I need on me, whether it's coins, hex tools, numerous screwdrivers, or a Holosun HS515C on my keychain. ". Yes, I had on my keychain a Holosun HS515C sight adjustment tool from an old Holosun sight, but what do you think? It won't fit the Holosun HS512C, too big! The Holosun HS515C’s keychain size tool won’t fit the Holosun HS512C, much too large! But I had so many other tools, too, dozens of other tools in my range bag and on my keychain, that you would think one of them would fit? That's not happening. There was no way to use any of them. As a starting point, I attempted what I have found to work on every other red dot site This is money. Yet even the size of a dime was too big to fit into the adjustment screw of I then tried the three screwdrivers I had on my keyring, but none of them They were too big, even though the standard ones were so small, and the Philips ones were too big It isn't possible to fit the head of one. It is not yet time to panic, so don't. After I got my range bag out, I took a small case of jewelers' screwdrivers out. You know what I mean? I found the jeweler's screwdriver to be just a bit too small, although my other screwdrivers were too large. I started panicking, for if I couldn't adjust the sights, my trip to the range to sight in my gun with the new Holosun sight would be a total waste of time.
In despair, I tried using the rim of some. The 22 rimfire brass finally turned up, and I felt lucky. Here is the In any case, the windage and elevation screws on the Holosun could almost be adjusted using 22 rimfire brass. Next, I have a negative point to make It sounds as if you've figured out how to make a battery door that doesn't require tools to open - HoloSun How can I make windage and elevation knobs that don't require a Special Holosun HS512C No-Show Tool that's incompatible with previous Holosun No-Show In addition to this, when zeroing it, the rotation of the windage and elevation knobs is so quiet that even without earplugs or shooting earmuffs, it is almost inaudible! At the gun range, I was the only person in attendance, so I was able to take off my shooting earmuffs, but the clicks could not be heard. To finally hear the clicks, I had to go to the control panel and turn off the heater and ventilation fans, as well. I then had to repeat this after every third shot After taking three shots, look through your spotting scope, then walk to the control panel and turn off the heating and ventilation fan. Now, you can adjust the windage and elevation knobs a few clicks (if you are using the rim of your gun). My screwdrivers and tools would not work, so I had to use brass from 22 rimfire, then walk back to the control panel, turn on the heating and ventilation fans, walk back to the rifle, and repeatedly fire three more shots. The Holosun HS512C has a shiny, reflective front lens that will clearly show wherever the hunter or shooter is located to whatever wildlife he is hunting, compared to its closest competitors, the Eotech XPS2 and Eotech XPS3. It has a lower build quality than the Eotech XPS2, and is probably less durable than the Eotech XPS3. 3) Eotech holographic sights are true laser holographic sights and do not require a reflective coating to be covert. aluminum covering on the Eotech sights can absorb the force generated by a gun falling on the sight if you drop it. As I would probably break it if I dropped my rifle with a Holosun sight on it, I would not drop it.

A red dot is the standard that all other dot comparisons should rely upon
5/5

If you want to do anything else, you should just get this dot first before you do The features it offers for the price it charges are a far better deal than anything else. The camera is very similar to the 510C, except it is more durable, completely enclosed, and offer better performance under harsh weather conditions and in dust. It also has a nice field of view, relative portability, and is relatively light at less than 8 ounces. With all the mounting hardware, the product weighs 1oz. This flashlight is very bright, has solar backup in case of battery failure, has battery saving, passively activated auto off/on that doesn't require any user input, and has reticle switching, so instead of spending $400+, you can choose which reticle you prefer. It works brilliantly and I have never encountered any problems with it, I have used it on my competition rifles.

Are we going to see the end of EOTech? Buying the Holosun was a complicated process that involved a lot of research
5/5

As a first step, I tried a few cheaper products as well, and my experience convinced me that the Holosun was on par or better than EOTech in terms of build quality, as I had no experience with cheaper products before. There is no rule that says you MUST spend over $300 on a good view. These Sig Sauer Romeo red dot sights are a good option if you like the style of the tube (Aimpoint) sights. In my opinion, the HUD-style is preferred I like the red dots in the EOTech style because they are much more open and don't have adjustment knobs to alter your viewing angle. In addition to the HUD, there are Despite the low cost of some models, there were few fully enclosed options like the Holosun, and none at all that I could find that have the reputation and features of the I really like the shake awake feature as well as the solar backup feature and auto dimming function. I am very pleased with the build quality. The packaging is of the highest quality. A simple adjustment is all that is required. With the auto-reminder, you can set it and forget it I love how the gun just turns on as soon as you move. It is hard to find a better site at less money or, as the kicker is, you would be hard pressed to find one at more money.

The $50 difference between a 507c and this one is well worth it
5/5

Having my 507c returned for a 515c was a good decision. They are nearly identical, but the 515 is fully enclosed, so there's no worrying about dust, mud, or blood getting into the little crevices and corners. I'm amazed at how clear the sight window is. As opposed to the 507c where an allen wrench is required to change the battery, this one requires no tools to change the battery (which will last several years).

I was impressed
5/5

I give this 5 stars right from the box! Overall, this was an excellent experience that exceeded initial expectations. Aluminum is the only material used in the housing and is extremely strong. It has good glass clarity and crispness, and the reticle is bright and well visible in all lighting conditions. Can't wait to try it out and see what its zero holding power is.

This is a great optic
5/5

Red dot optics have always been a favorite of mine but now this is by far my favorite. is easy to install and zero, and it holds its This makes picking it up so convenient since it is already turned on every time. Despite the fact that it's super clear and there is no haze, it's really easy to shoot with both eyes open since it doesn't have any haze. I was surprised at how well the auto brightening worked In bright sunlight or under a shade, you can still see the target.

I think this is great optic for the price
5/5

It is a solid red dot with advertised very long battery life (we will have to see how it performs) Controls are easy to work with and selection of reticle is always nice.
