Questions & Answers

Is this supposed to work with the Glock 17 Gen ?

All Glock pistols should be able to use this. This is accomplished by means of a hex shaped screw that's attached to the front sight.

Are the sight's extensions long enough to extend beyond the cut out on the Glock ?

If you are 34/35, you shouldn't get this. My one was hung out about an eighth of an inch or more and then it did not fit my G22 slide. Unless you really need it, don't buy it.

There are a total of how many bulbs are in it. ?

I have three of them, one red, one green and one

Do you have one that fits a Gen 4 Glock ?

There are 26,27,33,19 and 23 yes

This is an underwhelming front sight, though I've got a laundry list of complaints to follow
3/5

Let me begin by saying that, in spite of what I'll say, this isn't really a 'bad' I just didn't think it would be as good as I expected. In the first place, this sight requires minor fitting (at least it did for me). My needle file had to be used to narrow the portion of the tip that penetrates the hole near the top of the slide. It wasn't a big deal, just a little annoying. That's why you need to be ready for it. I bought the nut with this thing for a bargain price. they are placed side by side When I compare it with the original OEM nut, I find it to be rather absurd. Threaded portion of the tube is about half as long as it is wide. Due to the light tube, that is the only way it can be There is not enough real estate in the light tube for a longer nut to go in (although one wonders why a shorter light tube couldn't have been used with a full-length nut Nylon nut suitable for the respective length). There are also a lot fewer hex head parts on the nut than on the OEM part, which can be a real problem when you need to tighten it. In fact, the fiber optic certainly does its job, making the front sight much more prominent than the standard OEM sight, but there is one quibble I've noticed. The light tube brightens when you rotate your pistol, holding it in a horizontal position like a gangsta wannabe. Reorient it back to where it is aligned with a normal person, and the light tube begins to dim slightly. The majority of light is entering the tube from the sides, from what I am able to see. The sides of the pistol are facing the overhead lighting when it is horizontal A portion of the light tube is covered by the top metal of the pistol when it is vertical. Thus, we have the Catch - In this product, the top metal is supposed to reinforce the sight and protect the light tube better than other fiber optic sights do, but at the same time it limits the amount of light that can pass into the light It's a bit of a bummer, then. There is too much room at the front of the sight (per my opinion). In other words, when you align your sights, you won't have any empty space on either side of the front sight because the rear sight fills up the entire width of the rear sight notch. It is the light tube itself that centers nicely, but the front sight as a whole does not. Again, (I believe this is the biggest disadvantage) this is the biggest disadvantage. It is the light tube that is supposed to draw your eye to the front sight, but it shouldn't be the point of focus (the top edge of the front sight should be). It is difficult to align this sight with a pistol as it has no "white space" on either side. In consequence, I would not recommend that you install this sight on a pistol you intend to use for self-defense. There is a possibility that your opinion will differ. You can choose whatever method feels most comfortable to you. In addition to the sight, there are three different There is a red & blue design on it Fibre optic) white tube - In addition, installation and training will be provided This tool may also serve as a storage area for the two unused tubes not associated with This is not a site that I hate, as I mentioned earlier. There's nothing to worry about. In any case, there is probably something better out there if you put in a little more effort. In the mean time, for the record, I am not using this sight with the With the installation of this rear sight, I installed an LPA adjustable rear sight.

It's a bang for the buck if you make a few changes
4/5

A pro is Please note A quick and easy installation is possible (with a hexagon glock sight tool*). The color options are green, red, or white (Green is my personal favorite)
- An adequate level of illumination with natural daylight or other light sources (with certain modifications)
A 5 time range trip with over 750 rounds has proven the robustness of the optic rod (stayed secure for 5 times on 5 range trips)*. The costs of $$$$ are not as effective

Cons Please note The front sight sits a little lower than the Glock stock sight, so you need to lower the muzzle a little DO NOT see this as more than a drop in the bucket Aim for the same position for both the front and rear sights)*br Lights aren't as bright without the modification* - No, it's not a night vision (there were no tricks to fool you you just need to know what to expect with any optic sight. Light sources are required for it to function. )

Modification It was noted in the comment that there are some design flaws in the housing that prevent light from passing through. Several holes have been filed and cut in the outer ring of the front and inner ring in order to maximize the amount of light coming in (see pictures 2 and 4 same bar in the top housing that you see at the back was also in the front before being filed). It does not affect the stability and security of the optical rod in any negative way.

Too high of a shot
3/5

The Glock 20 10mm gen 3 mounting bracket is too low for my Glock 20 10mm gen 3. It would be helpful to purchase a taller sight as 25 yards away even on 6 o'clock hold the impacts are high. It will be very difficult to hit the target with this pistol if its front sight is smaller than the rear sight. I planned on hunting with this pistol and found that its front sight does not meet the requirements of a fiber optic sight but is rather According to my examination of the spare inserts, they are made from hard injection molding Thus, their low brightness in low light may be due to this reason. As a user of other fiber optic sights, I found them bright in even the dimmest of lights. Even though I never looked for fiber optic sights to illuminate in the dark or at night, a lot of the fiber optic sights I have, both on rifles and pistols, as well as my bow, are bright and glow with just a little light from a lamp when inside. With respect to the cage that the snap-in color inserts fit into, the sight is well built. As you can see in the photos, the design differs slightly from the photo provided as the cage is zig-zagged instead of straight bare. However, it is still protected from scratching. When you are looking for a front sight that is the same for point of aim and impact at anywhere between 5 and 8 arcs, At 25 yards, this sight is too low to be useful. My rear view is as low as a sight can get on a pistol, as the factory notch is the lowest any sight can be. As a result, the rear sight will need to be lowered or the front sight will need to be raised in order to reduce the impact of the bullets near the In addition to the Underwood Hot loads in 200 grains, I fired several different weights and types of ammunition. Bullets that struck high struck with XTP bullets. As well as the cheap ball ammo I purchased, it hit high, but not as high as the costly ammo. Approximately 3" - 6" of impact occurred from 25 yards away The height is six inches. Despite having the ball balanced on target, which is a 6" diameter impact stick the impacts were still a little high, but I guess those would be ok if I was shooting out to 100 yards, which with this caliber is unlikely. That's all I can say about the sight. A taller fiber optic front sight, which will cost more and be taller when I buy it, is on my list.
