Questions & Answers

Is it possible to mount these grips easily onto a 1911 Colt Navy in WW2 (D-) How did you spend your France-day?

Installing them on a 1911 on D-day is going back in time for you What's the date? Those will work, yeah. Keep a paradox to a minimum.

Do the mounts wrap around both sides or are they affixed to one side?

Both sides of the piece are covered. As a result, it looks like two grips are connected by the finger grooves, but these are intended to go underneath the grips you

The added space under the stock grip plate calls for longer grip screws. Do I need to get longer grip screws?

This should be a requirement for you. Three sets of rails are installed on my 1911s and one on my 1911B There haven't been any upgrades to the

These grips will fit the springfield emp 9mm, right?

The version here is for the full size. You would need to order the compact size instead. Though it said in stock, it would not allow me to order it even though I live in CT. In the end, I ordered from another location.

There will be no disappointment for you
5/5

In no other case than for even one moment contemplating adding this 1911 to your collection, click the buy now button and complete the process as quickly as possible. I briefly owned a Hogue grip version that replaced the grips with the rubber wrap around version, however I never liked As long as it has the finger groove on the front strap of the grip, and the wood grip panels, I am happy. The panels will eventually be replaced with a nice mother of pearl set, but I won't complain about them until then. Fortunately I have a large hand and it does seem to give me a comfortable grip, but the grip does seem to increase in width. As a result I anticipate my groups will be better because any wiggle issue will be eliminated. Purchasing this product has been a good experience for me. All of my 1911s will be covered with this.

This deal is too good to pass up! In the beginning, I liked the factory wood grips and wanted to add the finger grooves for better shot control and comfort
5/5

The problem has been I was very happy with the fit of this product with my 1911 Springfield Champion. To make sure the rubber did not extend over the edges, I had to trim it lightly The factory grips leave a small amount of exposed metal. It looks like there is a very small gap between the wood grips and the rubber finger grooves (as you can see in the photo), but it's the kind of thing I can work around. A rubber inner liner reinforces the finger grooves, leaving them strong and durable As opposed to other grip inserts, these do not bend. My purchase cost me less than $10, and I am more than happy with it. To trim, it takes a couple of assembles and disassembles to find out what needs to be trimmed. If you want to color the exposed rubber while the grip is on, simply print it on an ink pen and color it. When you disassemble the grip, simply cut off what you marked and round the curves on the bottom that meet the To make this edge look good, it is most important to round it.

have tried them all and have been everywhere
5/5

I strongly believe that Pearce grips are the best. With a finger groove insert, these grips cost less than $4. Do not let this prevent you from making a purchase. There is a new German sport gun 1911 in 22 caliber in my possession. Using a metal guide rod, new springs, and tighter bushings, I completely rebuilt the insides of the wheel. Initially I built this gun to compete against my friends and their sports guns. The last thing I wanted was to lose to my friends. A better grip was needed to shoot with one hand. Since Pearce grips were so cheap, I had nothing to lose by trying them. I visited several gun stores and browsed gun websites before making my decision. Two days later, I ordered them from amazon, and five days later I received them The installation only took ten minutes, and I am super excited to try out my new pistol. That is, the ergonomics is great, since I can now grip it with a nice steady grip. You should not be deterred by the low price — this is a quality project that I would pay double for now that I have seen and felt it. This review is intended to help you make a good purchase.

All it takes is a little trimming here and there to make it look perfect
5/5

A 1911 frame with these adds a mere fraction of an inch to its width. There is little difference, so little that it makes little There is a definite difference in the way I feel and how confident I am. These are the two spots that I felt needed trimming On the outer edge of the mag floor plate, where the (Act, Mec--) There are some types of floor plates (Gar and others) that may bump The vast majority of magazines will still lock with a click, though a few may require a bit of extra force for the rubber edges to be compressed. So instead of it being double the effort to release the mags - it may take three or four times as long. You can fill or empty it. There are a few on the right side of the magazine The rubber of the grips was slipping away from the frame just enough so that the mag release was stretching it. There is an easy fix for either of these. You can place the grip flat on the cutting board if you have one. You can use any wood surface as well. You can lay a straight edge (metal ruler, machinist's rule, or the blade from a combination square) exactly where you want to make the cut, and hold the straight edge firmly. Make sure that you are using the sharpest knife you have (X-) You need just enough pressure to cut the rubber carefully, dragging it across the rubber as you go. As much as possible, make only one pass. On the second half of the mag release You may try enlarging the cutout slightly by using the largest leather punch of the leather punches or again by using X-Acto blades, if the issue with mag release seems to be related to the cutout. Be very careful as you act. It's okay to take your time and think about what you are doing, as you only need to do it Once you have done the above as needed, you can hold on to the weapon with a better grip. Your hand naturally forms a practically perfect weld with your grips and stocks when drawing. It feels different when it's in your hand The better way to accomplish this Those who use it will be able to detect how much better it is after a few draws and some life fire. If you like finger grooves and are looking for something under $10, this is the best that you can find.

Good to be back! I love these too, I love them so much! In conjunction with the Recover Tactical RG11 pistol grips, these are the best! Feels good on the hands and looks great on the feet! In fact, both 1911s were much easier to grip and handle after I turned them into this
5/5

I found that the normal grips felt very thin on the single stack and my hands are not large, so I do not typically use standard grips. There was nothing more to it than Due to my usage of longer revolver grips, I'm more used to them around the bottom portion of the revolver. Thanks to these grips and the slightly thicker side panels, you can appreciate the 1911s' amazing feel! A benefit of no sweat slip grip and cushion provided by the recoil is also provided. The installation was easy, and it was just as easy to trim the excess off with an exact knife in order to ensure that the frame does not only accommodate the ambi-adjust stage, but that it also fits perfectly We made sure safety was in place along with the magwells, but the gun also looked almost factory smooth. Instead of buying ambi or magwell grips, it all but eliminated the need.

There's nothing to worry about
3/5

It's nice to feel good. I really like how it feels on my hands, and it fits my fingers One thing I dislike is that it doesn't look as good as it could. There is an issue with the 1911 platform that is not covered by aka. The grips and the hoogue of the Ruger SR1911 have gaps between them, as you can see in my photographs. I think that is the only thing that needs to be fixed, but otherwise, it's fantastic!.

Easily achieve a better grip without having to give up your favorite grip! If you want to have the look and feel of finger grooves on your GI and Commander sizes 1911 without having to replace your custom or factory grips, this is a great investment
5/5

My Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Commander looks great with these, and they match the Ruger eagle wing grips I have. It is possible that the 1911 has slim grip screws installed, in which case you will need some slightly longer grip screws like the ones available for the 1911.
