Questions & Answers
It's not a polymer, and it doesn't feel like it has a lot more grip against slipping, but it works much better for me than the stock grip.
The factory grip was too small for a good grip, so it was definitely bigger. The Diamond Grip is extremely comfortable to use and provides excellent grip and control of your weapon. This product has exceeded my expectations.
The answer is Pachmayr diamond pro grip. On my public defender poly model, I replaced the factory grips with these, which I really like. They make it feel like it was made for your hand, and they're easy to replace.
Mag? On the Taurus Judge Revolver, I'm not sure what you mean by mag, but it doesn't matter how long the barrel is as long as you have the polymer Judge.

I felt like it needed more of a grip after firing a few times. I came across this grip and decided to try it. I placed my order on Saturday night and received it on Monday afternoon! I recommend this to anyone looking for a larger grip for their Public Defender because it was simple to install and completely changed how the gun felt. The difference in size between the stock grip (right) and the Pachmayr (installed) can be seen in the photograph.
I really like this grip because it's so sturdy. It gave me the extra length I needed to accommodate my large hands. Installation of the grip was a breeze. It took me about two minutes to complete this task. I've fired 50 rounds with this grip and can tell you that my Public Defender feels more secure in my hand, the recoil is distributed over a larger surface area, making it easier to regain my sight picture, and I carry it as a side arm in a leather owb holster when I hunt, and it's much easier to draw without having to readjust now.
This grip gives the Taurus Public Defender Poly a full-size grip while also preventing the trigger guard from hammering directly against your middle finger on every shot, which is a bad thing. all- that- The only reason I bought the Pachmayr was because of this nice feature of the original grip. I thought the more compact (shorter) factory grip was a good idea because it makes the gun a little smaller for concealed carry, but I didn't like that there's no way to hold it properly without getting a good whack on your knuckle when you fire it. Of course, the Pachmayr is a perfect fit, feels fantastic in the hand, and the "felt" recoil is noticeably different. This book comes highly recommended.
The factory grip for the poly public defender, as everyone knows, is a sham. I started by purchasing a taurus oversized grip. Getting on was nearly impossible. It was, in fact, impossible. As a result, I placed an order for the Pachmayr grip. Grip is even a little bigger than the taurus oversized (which is a good thing), grip is solid, feels good, and is the right size (I know that is a personal preference). The best part, though, is that it worked the first time. It's worth noting that you use the same screw that came with your original grip. As a first upgrade to your JPD Poly, this is highly recommended.
The factory grip is woefully inadequate, and it appears to be the only criticism voiced in nearly every review. The Pachmayr Diamond Pro is a lot bigger and feels a lot more solid. It takes seconds to install and is compatible with my existing holster. Because it is so much larger than the factory grip, there is a significant reduction in recoil. Overall, this is an upgrade that you should make to your firearm.
Don't let the one-time-only-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass you by You are unable to purchase due to the presence of stars. This is a good match. On the grip, it gives my entire hand traction. The felt recoil was reduced, but shooting was still a challenge. Even with a critical defense of 410, you won't want to do it. It feels more in control, and I like the look. To those who say it doesn't fit, I say: I couldn't get it all the way on by hand, and firearms require the use of tools. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, but I lightly tapped the butt of the grip with a hand-sledge, and the grip inched its way to flush where it should have been. br>br>However, these grips do take away from the concealability of the weapon. My Judge is for around my property where copperheads are an issue, so it's ability vs OEM. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a better grip than OEM.
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in this case. Because I read a lot of reviews about how difficult it was to install and how figment was off on the polymer Judge, I was skeptical and almost didn't buy. I'm not sure if those people are just stupid, or if the grip has been updated, but as of February 5th, 2020, this grip fits the Polymer perfectly. This is the most money I've ever spent on a firearm accessory. My only complaint is that it makes my hand feel a little fatter. I haven't shot with it yet, but pulling my hand back a little might help with the trigger pull. This grip accommodates all of my fingers, including my bearclaws. If you're considering it because of the reviews, you can rest assured that it fits well and is a good investment. I wouldn't have paid twice if I didn't have it. Thanks.
Pachmayr hit a three-run home run with the bases loaded in the third inning. On these grips, I'm doing 2 counts with 2 out. SLAM! SLAM SLAM SLAM SLAM SLAM What a one-of-a-kind match! These are the grips that should have been included with this model from the start, rather than the flimsy ones that were included. What's the deal with the meat? It's snatched up in these clutches. What about in terms of appearance? It also improves the appearance of the revolver. My pinky finger was not supported in the original grips because I don't have large hands. I've always thought the original grips were a little flimsy. With your Taurus Judge Public Defender Poly, this is the first upgrade you should make. It is something I strongly suggest.
