Despite what the name implies, the magazine does not cover the bottom of the grip entirely. Even when the magazine is in the pistol, the magazine slot has an open hole behind it. It closes the hole and prevents dirt and crud from coming in. There's a hole there so that you can grab the magazine base plate and remove it if it becomes My Glocks have the grip plug, so I prefer it
This specifies G48 and G43X, not G48 and G43. It is recommended to put the same value in G42 and G43. To locate G43 in particular, you should perform a search.
It would be hard to paint with anything that would last with the low durometer of this insert.

I love how these plug that silly Glock hole that exists - they're great! Although some say the hole provides drainage for moisture and other things, I think that the likelihood of the lint, dust and other things getting into the barrel of the gun through this hole far outweighs the chances of it getting wet and needing to be drained. To fill the holes, I plug them. Normally, they fit great, without any issues except when you go to the range. Be sure to check it to make sure it is still in tight, as they tend to move a little.
This gun fits great within a prevent debris and crud from getting into the system.
My pistols will no longer pick up debris while firing, so I won't have to worry about it getting into the mechanism. I just wanted to mention this. Apparently the Pierce Grip warranty states that "the buyer assumes all risk in regards to the quality and performance of this product. " I have purchased several of these plugs with no problems at all, but that kind of got me wondering what the disclaimer was I would be remiss if I did not give you the entire disclaimer here. It was too long, so I just gave you the last sentence.
While it is pricey, when you think about the firearm's $450+ price tag, and the fact that this piece "finishes" it as it should have been from the factory, you can see how well worth it it is. The belt is snug, no rattle, and easy to install (brainless). My 43X popped right into it, so I am happy with my purchase. Don't miss out on this one, it will be worth it.
fulfills its purpose exactly as it is intended. This plug is factory-installed and should fit any hole.
I like how easy it is to install, how tight it fits, and how it doesn't wiggle in my hand. I think Glock should make something like this, as inexpensive as it would be to produce, but what would we be able to customize with it? Just buy.
Although it arrived quickly, it was relatively easy to put in and seems to hold firmly in place. I love the way it looks In the end, I was happy to have the hole in my 43x filled in. Although it is expensive comparably to plugs of other models, there are so few of them made as of yet (guns are still new for third-party accessories) that I didn't mind paying more.
