Questions & Answers
We found a local marine store that says to measure the distance between the oarlocks, divide the measurement by two, multiply it by three, and add six. If a number is rounding up or down, round that number to the nearest whole number. Using my boat, the span is 41" and the number ends up being 67, so I'd end up with an oar that's six feet long.

My recommendation is not to use these oars in any application. They are of substandard quality. Both were quite flimsy out of the box, with one warped out of the box. Invest in yourself and save yourself from headaches.
Now that I only have one single oar, I'll have to order another and wait another week before I can row the Now I have one useless oar, and I have to order two more oars because the 5-footers are out of stock. There's no way a single oar can be bought for that price. What's the difference between 1 single oar and 3? Are you serious? As much as I would like to give zero stars, I can't.
I was able to use it for what I needed! It may not be the most practical packaging, but it is understandable when it comes to this.
However, the wood appears to have been ground down after being dragged, however, the shipping box seems to work as well. The oar was defective upon receipt, and I reported it immediately. I was approved for a return, but I am responsible for shipping the package back. Unfortunately, that forms a poor customer service response. Otherwise, the oar is fine. I am updating Upon hearing back from the seller, he refunded the purchase price and said I did not have to return the row boat. Therefore, they did what they should, and we are grateful for that.
Using the oar for the second time caused it to break. Last time I purchased the same item(exact same item), it lasted for years it might have simply been a.
