Questions & Answers

What will happen if I try this grip on a Glock 48 9mm with no finger grooves?

There is a Glock 48 Grip SKU 18210 that is exclusive for the Glock 48 and Glock 43x models. A Glock 48 pistol is compatible with all Glock 48 accessories. Please disregard the other answer that suggests they don't. A Glock 43X or Glock 48 does not have finger grooves on the frame of the firearm.

Can this be used with a normal Glock 48 with a silver ?

It does not change with the slide color on the Glock 48. There are two finger bumps and three finger grooves on the 18210 model from Hogue. With the Hogue model 18300, the Glock 48 will have one finger bump and two finger grooves, while the smaller 18300 contains one finger bump and one finger groove. Can this be used on a standard Glock 43? I bought it for my wife's concealed carry and it's the first Glock I've bought, so I'm not familiar with the other differences. ?

I had hoped it would do just what I wanted
5/5

This sleeve seems to be my favorite so far. thin hand grip on the side of the Glock 43X is a bit small for my hands but the gun is great for concealment. Quite a few improvements were made to the sleeve, including making it easier to grip and making it a little more comfortable to hold. Despite some of the reviews telling me otherwise, I found the sleeves to be a lot easier to use than I was expecting. A small pot of water was boiled, the heat was turned off, and something like 30 minutes were dropped into it The time is 45 seconds. The handle of the lamp was sprayed with glass cleaner while it was in the water. Easy and solid to put on, the sleeves have a very good fit. Very pleased with this product. I've been looking for something like this.

An ideal solution for me is an imperfect solution
3/5

Considering I bought this hoping to have a wider grip so that my support hand could be in better contact with the frame of my 43x, I thought it would be the perfect solution. While the fingers of my firing hand wrap around the Talon grip enough to press more into the finger tips than the frame of the gun, while my supporting hand presses much more into the grip. There are some issues that are fixed in this grip, but there are some new ones I don't like as well. As a first observation, the palm swell of the grip seems to be entirely made of the same rubber material as the other parts of the grip, and when squeezed noticeably gives way. As a result, I may not receive as many benefits from my contact with my support hand. It is this slight giving way of the rubber grip that allows my palm to easily put pressure on it, which in turn makes my grip functionally narrower, in turn causing me to put more pressure on the pads of my firing hand fingers (where I don't want to put it). I don't struggle as much as I did without the Hogue grip, but this grip would be better for me if the palm swells were either wider (to compensate for its loss of width when squeezed) or reinforced with a stronger substance underneath that wouldn't In addition, there is another issue with When I am pulling the gun from my holster, I have trouble establishing my grip on it because they are in my way when I try to claim it since they are well placed and comfortable when gripping the gun. In concealed carry, the grooves reduce the distance between the grip of my gun and my gun belt, causing me to have to force my fingers into through the gap created (I tried to photograph the issue). In addition to slowing down my draw, the grooves act as speed bumps as I ram my knuckles into the hard material of my belt after a few draws I also get pain in my knuckles as a result. My typical method is to get the highest, most consistent grip possible by ramming my hand down about one inch behind the beaver tail, and then slid my hand forcibly along the grip and into the beaver tail. In any case, the aggressiveness of the finger grooves makes that extremely difficult. I think both of these issues could be solved with more rounded groove peaks. In the last place, the material used in the grip itself is of concern. I wouldn't be surprised if the rubber material didn't offer the same "gripiness" as my sandpaper Talon grip tape, but if the grip gets oily, the difference is quite noticeable. In my opinion, the problem with an holstered concealed gun is that the support side of it is always oily because it is always in contact with my skin. The oiliness of the grip makes it more slippery against my palm than the sandpaper grip, thus lessening the benefit of improving contact with my support hand. It's possible that Hogue could mitigate this issue by using a composite material that is less affected by oil in the textured part of the grip. I'm a bit on the fence about the addition in the end. In my opinion, it feels more comfortable than my sandpaper grip when it's in the holster, and (some) solution to a huge problem I have with my pistol would be helpful. I found it to be not as ideal as I had hoped and it introduced new problems I didn't want to deal with. Having to try it out on the range will give me a better sense of my decision, but as of now I'm leaning towards taking it off and moving on to other solutions (a device called a Storm Grip acts as a sudo- * span_end>). I am considering a Talon grip tape back strap that might address my problem while allowing me to continue using my Talon grip tape, but I am not sure if it will open my firing handle grip as effectively as the Hogue grip).

This is worth the time
5/5

I recommend buying it. I feel like I am using a whole new weapon! With a height of 6'5" and a weight of 300 lbs, I am over 300 pounds. My hands are like those of a mammoth. It had too small of a grip for me, however, and I liked the Glock 48. I almost felt like I could reach out and touch my palms. I found that this grip spread my fingers out just enough to be comfortable but not too much that I would have a problem concealing my fingers. With the addition of the Pierce grip extension, I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is quite a bit of work to install, but all you need to do is read the instructions to build the shoehorns, which are provided. Those things are the difference between success and failure.

I think I have found the perfect As I don't say often enough, but this grip is perfect
5/5

Not only does it add no bulk to the weapon, it greatly improves the overall feel and control of the overall By incorporating a grip that is just a tad too narrow, it integrates it perfectly into the gun's overall balance without adding much weight or affecting its footprint. Printed documents can be concealed with no problem. Precision fit actually isn't easy, but they don't mess around when they say installation isn't easy. It will only take 10 minutes to build a much more stable shooting platform if you follow the instructions.

I have excellent This is a great deal
5/5

My Glock 43X will look great with this grip installed. I can't wait to shoot with this grip. I like the way it feels and how it fits great. Due to the warm climate near our shooting range, we tend to sweat a bit. I sometimes find that my guns' handles get a little wet and make them feel uncomfortable. A special thank you to my 10-year-old This is their first year. His favorite part about this grip is the feel. As a result, the size of my hands is larger than average. He is, of course, a small one. He can use it to reduce recoil, so that's my hope. As a result of reading reviews of people using Windex, boiling water, etc. I was able to apply it without too much difficulty - perhaps 5 minutes total. The age of 55 is a reasonable strength for me A man of about 40 years old. Nevertheless, I believe that any man should be able to put on this grip without using wet lubricants. Taking your time and working your way up is the best way to do it. This grip is great because I did not want the "wet lubes" on it, since they may remain for a little while. I bought the grip for the second time and like it very much. As I become a fan, I'll continue to follow.

Talon Grip Tape is superior to this
5/5

On my Glock 43X, I had this installed. The Talon grip tape was removed from the handle, and the Hogue grip sleeve was put in its place. While talon grip tape had some effect, it was not As well as adding just a bit of thickness to the handle, this grip sleeve is also padded on the back. I had a much easier time gripping the pistol after doing this. This is something that I strongly recommend you install on your system.

The program works great once it is installed, although it created some colorful words while installing
5/5

A lot of people find it uncomfortable gripping the G43x, but this thing makes it pleasurable! The surface is just tacky enough for amazing control and grip, and the contours are great. doesn't add very much (if any) bulk to the CCW application, which is also a bonus. One thing I didn't like about this grip was the installation process. This is not something you'll be able to do without inventing a few new curse words unless you have the strength of the Hulk. My last resort was to use some water to help, but holy sh*t, it was SO hard! The rest of the trip was like a rollercoaster ride. Although, it's probably a good thing since it hasn't moved a millimeter after hundreds of rounds and multiple attempts to carry it.

Hogue is too important to be without
5/5

Quite a few of these on different guns, but the combination of a 43x and this will absolutely make a perfect grip, at least in my case. It goes on quickly and easily as long as you use Windex and heat it up in hot water. After it has dried overnight, store it. I couldn't have asked for a simpler plan. As soon as I completed the bolt, it fit very tightly. I put 400 rounds through it and it failed to move.
