Questions & Answers

Are you sure that this will work with 338 Lapua Magnum?

This is not the case in my opinion. The Hornady 390583 Universal Shell Holder for 338 Lapua fits a number of different cartridges.

A Hornady Lock n Load Progressive Loader was purchased by me as I am a newcomer to reloading. The shell plates I bought were from Amazon. How many shell holders do I still need?

It may be the 45 ACP, 38 Special, or the W). Having said that, a lot of calibers will need trimming such as the 62x39, 300 Win Mag), and the bottle neck pistol cartridges. If you are going to use their camlock case trimmer, you will need Hornady brand shell holders. As well as shell holders, you will need them in a single stage press for pulling bullets and other operations that you may not want to perform

In the product description, it states that it ships within one day Are we talking about 3 months now? That's a joke, are you kidding me?

Use eBay or Amazon to order it. I think it will take 5 days or so.

Do you think the Hornady neck trimmer will work with this?

The round you are loading determines whether you will open the box. There is a good chance you will have trouble with I think it is the Valkyrie, or perhaps the 6mm.

This is not for use with Lee presses
3/5

As a result, I bought this as it was a tad cheaper than Lee's universal shell holder, and it was the right The Lee shell holder was bought anyway, so I had no choice but to purchase it. A Hornady shell holder snaps into place and holds the correct brass size fine, but the hole at the bottom is too large, causing the priming ram not quite to engage when the brass is inserted. A little bit of metal gets shaved off the side of the primer as you shave from the center. As well as setting them all the way in, I had a lot of trouble getting them straight. If you have a Hornady press then this will probably work great for you. When using a Lee press, just purchase the Lee shell holder if you are going to prime on it.

The RCBS will not benefit from it - The Lee family Ram prime tools are from Lyman Ram
4/5

Using shell holders from one manufacturer (RCBS) and another, in my case Hornady/Pacific, can be risky! In this case, it is a. There is a difference of tenths of an inch in thickness. The 5010" appears instead of the The thin RCBS may cause bumps when loaded into bottle neck cartridges due to the difference in sizing between the thick and thin Hornady. There is a possibility of a misaligned primer if you use the RCBS desk top priming tool or the RCBS Ram Prime because the smaller post of the cup posts are too loose for the hole of the Hornady shell holder. Those same issues occur for the Lyman Ram Prime as well as the Lee Ram Prime. My Hornady shell holder came with my 38 Special extra die set, and for those situations, I use either a Sinclair or 21st Century hand priming tool. If you want to use your shell holder for cams it pays to measure its thickness Setting up your dies will require a lot of attention when you're just starting, especially when it comes to the sizer and the depac.

Holder for Hornady Universal Shells
3/5

agree that universal is the best choice I'm not sure which one is possibly the one with the quality assurance problem In my opinion, the Hornady holder would be off center if used with the Lee product. We even discovered that when we used the prime press there was a catch and that we accidentally slammed in primers when using the press (we would not have discovered that if we used the manual method). I am sorry to hear that, so After rotating it, I realized it found a center if I rotated it again. I am sorry to hear that, so I'll try to do this when I get the chance, as it doesn't appear to be reordering that would resolve In order to avoid catching the tool cup on the press cup of the Primer tool, I will get an expensive high quality tool file and open it up the 1mm that it needs.

A 9mm of true quality
5/5

A shell holder holds your phone. Shell holder that is actually the correct size for 9mm shells. This is intended to replace the Lee shell holder that is sized for 9mm and . I purchased it as a replacement. A handy tool to use if you ever happen to accidentally obtain a. The 40 cases were mixed in with the This Lee shell holder keeps your shells in place. The 40 will go straight into the shell holder resulting in a sudden stop when you try to size.

The more exact size also helps with alignment so the reloading process goes more smoothly.

The 45 Auto (ACP) is a manual transmission
3/5

the Hornady part #390571 shell holder for the #31 (Hornady part #390571). The 45 Auto Rims are in excellent condition. Honestly, I have no idea what that is, but the #31 is BRAND NEW and has been made much larger than the previous sizes. The shell casing of a 45 ACP. It looks like I was looking for part #45 (Hornady part # 390606), but that is no longer Based on the reviews, it seems as though the Amazon buyer is mixing up the two part numbers. Some people say it fits, while others claim it's too big. Hence, Amazon's description of the part is correct (45 Auto Rim), but if you're after a , you may want to be careful. The Auto (ACP) part number is 45.

The trip is well worth it
5/5

I have a Lyman TMAG turret press and it fits perfectly. Although the Lee single stage press fits snugly, it isn't at all easy to manage. As a result, the Lee press isn't as smooth as the Black one, so I'm attributing it to that. The RCBS holder holds a shell with less wiggle than this one, so I'm satisfied with it. The RCBS holder holds a shell with less wiggle than this one,.

As my first Hornady shell holder, this was my first
5/5

Shell holders are not something I thought could be made better and still be as convenient as this one was, but they were. It is only my opinion that counts. Special 44 (shell - Holding #30) My. A delicate fit of 44 special brass is evident, along with a little bowing in on either side of the top section of the holder, which keeps the rim in contact with the holder. It didn't swing out of alignment just enough to hit the edges of the die opening as some holders do, so I didn't need to keep my finger on it the entire time I was riding up to my die. Now that Amazon carries a lot of firearms accessories, I really like it. My first visit to their site is often to theirs.

We provide the best

I'm going to review the following topic This is a well-written Holder made of machined metal. Make sure you wipe it down and keep it clean (use a toothbrush and solvent when necessary), and always wipe it down thoroughly with antibacterial solutions To keep your press or box clean, rub your rust cloth with a damp cloth. It will last so long that you will become bored with it if you follow this advice!.
