There is a difference between 12 inches and 13 inches in height. The problem is that when zipping it's hard to get past the top of my scope when zipping. The case would have been awesome if it had been an inch longer. The barrel does have a comp on it, an iron Eagle Tactical "swiss cheese" muzzle break, and a comp muzzle stop. It's still awesome to have the 42"!
A metal zipper is designed to hold a small padlock, and all of the straps are attached with metal hardware.
As a whole, I agree with you that it needs two I find the one strap in the back cumbersome at first, but I have found that by turning it at an angle, it rests and carries For the money, it is still a great case.

Do not settle for plastic locks and a plastic case! I have updated It has been quite the sight to see so many guys with bags that have metal D-rings Their carry straps are made up of all metal clips and hardware. The zippers overlap and have a loop for a small padlock, etc. The pouches have a higher quality rubber fabric on the top, etc. The pouches were all PLASTIC, with leather material around top of pouches. The zippers held open as if they were typical zippers they did not lock. I called Condor and they asked me a few questions. We'd say these models are very old, they say they're from a couple years ago. The customer service reps were horrified that Amazon was still shipping the plastic version of the customer version. I told them that I wanted an updated version and they would have to contact Amazon on my behalf since I discovered all of this after my 30 day period. going to get a new bag - I wasn't going to pay full price for an old bag with cheap plastic when the new ones are both more durable and better insulated. They just said to send the invoice, some pictures, tag to verify it's Condor, etc. and they sent me a BRAND NEW Updated Version ASAP, "Hey buddy sorry about that, keep that first one (So that will be the backup) If you are going up or going to a friend, please do so in advance. There is SOOOOO MUCH improvement with the updated version, the zippers overlap and lock, and on the old version, the black rubbed off the zipper pulls to the chrome, but they do not on the new ones, and they can now be locked. On the strap, there is hardware that looks like this D There are no more plastic rings, clip, or any of those other items, and these are solid metal now and feel BEEFIER than ever before. The bag is light years better than before. . The carriers are padded and much more comfortable to hold when velcroed together and the rubberized material on top keeps the material from wearing when you pull them open while they are pulled tight. Overall the new version is WAY better than the old plasticy, cheap feeling version. *Don't get me wrong, as you can see from my initial review below, I still recommend the cheap plastic old version because I believe in it, but once you get the new one it becomes 10 stars instead of 5 as I previously thought. There is no night and day difference in the two bags, but The One is definitely a better bag overall. If you receive the old version with no zipper locks, plastick hardware, etc. , please return it to Amazon and ask them to send back all those old parts and only send the new parts. You will be extremely grateful that you didn't settle for the cheapy plastic no locking version. For an AR15, you don't really need to go any bigger. I got the 36" This is my first AR15 case, and this case meets the exact specifications I was looking for. It has lots of padding inside, solid zippers and stitching (would like the main zippers to overlap with a lock, just like the Voodoo), and the pouches are pretty good except that the straps need to be weaved into the bag. The online videos on weaving molee can help you to understand the process. Just search for "weave molee" on your computer. Providing this information to the factory is not being done, and the pouches may sag and feel rather unsteady if this is not done. The compression straps are all in the right spot and work great. (I find that if the pressure is not put on the straps much and just an average amount, then they tend to slip slightly). In the end, I went with the Black and am very pleased. We received a pair of Velcro badges from Gadspen & Co I got my Culpeper swords from Amazon (I got the US flag and punisher and they fit wonderfully and look great). There are nice draw strings on the side of the pouches that help keep the top of the pouch from being too big and that help compact the contents. There is no limit to how much stuff can fit in a pouch, they expand very far. When you weave them right on the mollee webbing right to the bag, they are that much stronger and feel great to carry even when you have all that stuff in the bag. It's my first time using the shoulder, back, etc. strap so I can't tell how it feel I haven't talked about that yet, but I will update my review once I do. I don't know what this strap will do to my hands, but it does seem like it will work well and has many different options for use. I was interested in both this and the Voodoo Tactical Case, and for the about $40 savings, this proved to make a better choice. The Voodoo probably won't be worth that premium if there's nothing special about it. You might want to seriously consider a Voodoo case if you want one that can double up as a rifle case. This Condor case is a single and works perfectly fine for just one rifle. The Voodoo I have seen and read, however, seems to be very powerful and deadly. Therefore, if you only need a case for one AR15, as I do, you can get your hands on the one I have. There is no need to look Please let me know if this helps. This item did not fit my AR-15 like it would have done with a hard case. I would have preferred a hard case but there is no way to store other items, so these soft cases just make more sense. I like the smaller size and the 36" fits like a glove. This can cause the collapse or the extension of the text. The reviews of this item got it right most of the time, and it is a sure bet for anyone looking for an AR case. My husband loved this present for Christmas and it really brought out his inner child. Because it is MOLLE compatible, he has the ability to add other packs and arrange things to fit his preferences. There was no way we could have imagined the bag would be so durable. It has an amazing storage capacity. I really liked the fact that the bag was well padded, which kept it from having a bulky feel to it, which was My primary motivation for purchasing this for him was his repeated complaint of having to lug his hard case (pelican) to and from There is now space on the shelf for his AR-15 There are two full-sized handguns with magazines and rounds along with a 15-caliber rifle. We highly recommend this case for anyone who enjoys the range, camping, traveling, etc. It has just been a fantastic purchase! An excellent product comes in this form. It's made with super heavy duty material, top-notch stitching, and has plenty of pockets. This case has been designed with such thought that I am literally blown away at the level of thought that has gone into it. When its stock is collapsed, it fits perfectly inside the Ruger AR556. Besides extra magazines, the three outer pouches can be used to store a cleaning kit, flashlight, or any other items you may need. The pouches are loose when the case arrives, but once they are lacquered up, they are as solid as if they were sewn on, and they can be removed if desired. Zippers are strong and made so that you can lock them at your discretion if necessary. There is another zippable side of this case which can also be used to contain another firearm. Upon opening the case, you will find two Velcro straps holding your firearm in place, in addition to two large pockets for storage that likewise have Velcro closures. For example, they could be used to hold paper targets or MREs, or as With one strap, the shoulder pad features a slideable extra thick padded cushion for comfort, and d-rings that allow you to secure it diagonally or on one direction only. The case is so well done that I cannot find anything that I don't like. The plan is to pass it down to my son after being utilized for a long time. I would give this case more than five stars if I could. There's no doubt that this is a great movie.
