The case is 14 1/2 inches wide at the top and 14 inches wide at the bottom (the case is slightly tapered). br>The top measures 10 3/8 inches from front to back, while the bottom measures 10 inches from front to back. br>Depth = 4 inches, with an additional 1 1/2 inches inside the lid.
That's correct.
Masterlock makes a nice set of three keyed locks in the weather restaurant style, with a black rubber coating and white lettering that looks great against the black case and works flawlessly. They give the impression of being much more difficult to break into than most locks, and they are simple to lock, unlock, and remove. The locks appear to be custom-made for the case, according to some. They'd be too big if they were any bigger, and if they were any smaller, they wouldn't be as beefy as they could be while still looking right and fitting the shanks through the steel lined holes in the case. They cost $20 and can be found here: br>br> "3 Pack Keyed Master Lock M115XTRILF Magnum Heavy Duty Outdoor Padlock with Key, Master Lock M115XTRILF Magnum Heavy Duty Outdoor Padlock with Key, Master Lock M115XTRILF Magnum Heavy Duty Outdoor Padlock with Alike”
It will easily fit into the Pelican Vault V100. But I'd put it in the V200 so that I could stuff it with speedloaders and other goodies. But that's just me; the V100, in my opinion, is perfectly adequate.

I had been using it for about two weeks when my guns began to rust. It's a shame because they're supposed to be weatherproof. I returned them and will continue to use Pelican cases in the future. It's a shame, because these would have been fantastic if they were more budget-friendly. They appear to be a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional pelican cases, but they are not. You're better off buying a budget brand like Plano, which is far superior in this situation. br>br>Advantages-
- The hinges are outstanding. The button hinges are fantastic-- Design- On the box, there are some cool colors and textures. It appears to be of good qualitybr>- Large- This is a large box that can hold a lot of items. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- THIS IS NOT A WEATHERPROOF PRODUCT. Moisture seeps in, causing rust to form. br> I can see that the top and bottom pieces do not close and form a seal, which could explain why moisture is getting in.
- The plastic feels flimsier than the rest of the Pelican cases. br>br>Overall, I'd recommend getting a different brand of more budget-friendly options because they'd still protect the items inside a little better. At the very least, moisture and water aren't a problem.
I chose the latter because it was about half the price and I could cut the foam to fit the microphones I was using, Earthworks Icon Pros, rather than the standard precut for Rode mics. I used my bonus money to buy something I really wanted, and I'm so glad I did. It has enough room for my headphones, microphones, power supply, and, of course, the Rodecaster. I can't speak for everyone's needs, but this works for me and I'm glad I didn't wait. I would strongly suggest it.
As long as the seals are kept semi-clean, you'll have good waterproofing. For custom cutting, this foam is ideal. It's just a little pricey for a case, but it'll keep your belongings safe. Heavy-duty latches secure the door.
I dislike the various sized foam inserts and the non-flush bottom pad.
This product has been in my possession for about a month, and I've used it a couple of times while traveling. I have yet to fly with it, but the baggage handlers will put it to the ultimate test. If something bad happens, I'll let you know.
Same as before, on time, and exactly what I expected.
