Questions & Answers

A CVA optima 14" inline pistol might be a good option. ?

It's about 17" x 11" at the most. 75". However, I gave this case a one-star rating because the foam will not securely hold even a small gun. When you pick something up from inside, it will slide and bang.

I'm looking for a case for my husband's revolver, which is an 1858army44 caliber revolver. 1 of 11 dimensions 2Do you think this gun will fit into this case?

The dimensions are 14 x 11 x 3 1/4 "h on the outside. On the inside, it will be a little smaller, so double-check the gun's dimensions.

I'm sure the pistol will fit, but I'm not sure about the holster. In any case, there's no reason for the holster to be on the locked box. It can be thrown into a suitcase with ease. Holsters are not governed in any way.

Are the measurements provided for inside or outside, and if outside, what are the inside measurements? Thanks?

Selected User Reviews For Flambeau Outdoors 1411 Safe Shot 14" Pistol Pack Case, Portable Firearm Storage Accessory

This is a great case for compact and subcompact handguns, as well as some mid-sized ones
5/5

I read some really bad reviews about this little case when it came to guns of various sizes. Well, I received mine today, and let me tell you, those negative reviews are complete nonsense. br>One person claimed that he couldn't remove the sticker's adhesive. Mine came off without a hitch. The foam liner was also criticized as being "cheap. " Another one showed pictures of the injection mark on the case and apparently thought it was too big, despite the fact that it's the same kind of foam rubber that's in my other handgun case, which I've had for 20 years and hasn't had any issues. br>When I first got the case, none of those things happened to me. The case was in good condition, and all of the components were in good working order. The foam had been cut to perfection. Also, I'd like to point out that I've had a Flambeau tackle box for decades, and it's still in excellent condition. It's a cantilever style with a lot of lures, and it's great. It's also made in the United States, which should be important to gun owners, and it's being sold for a very reasonable and competitive price.

For $7, it's a good deal
3/5

It's about the same price as the MTM-style cases. Foam of the worst possible quality! However, unlike all of the MTM versions, there are no tiny fibers flying around. br>As you can see, removing the product sticker reveals this horrible crack. These cases have a nipple as well as an unsightly mold line, but they are still comparable to the MTM quality series cases. br>br>In the photos, you can see how bad and inexpensive the foam is. They don't have the MTM cases' trillions of loose dangerous fibers all over them, which is a plus. br>br> On all three of the ones we bought, there are small pits and pieces taken out on both sides. br> I could list a lot more flaws, but I believe the photos I've included show you exactly what you're getting. br>At $7. 50, it's a steal. I purchased three of these for $8 and just removed the large sticker from one of them today. br> It revealed the things mentioned above, and all three of them have them. br>In addition, the glue used on the stickers is extremely tacky and gooey, and I was unable to remove it without the use of Goo Gone. This residue can be seen in the photos. br>br>Following my initial review, in which I expressed my disappointment and surprise that the case had gone from $8 on my first purchase to $7, I wrote another review in which I expressed my disappointment and surprise that the case had gone from $8 on my second purchase to $7. On the second, the price was 50 cents, then it doubled to $13 cents. The next day, it dropped back to $7. This reveals a lot about Amazon and whether or not they care. These kinds of gestures mean a lot to us as customers and show that they're paying attention. br>br>At $7, I believe you are getting exactly what you pay for. At ten, it's just about big enough. It has two articulating, slide locking parts along the handle with holes on both ends for a padlock type system. br>It is 5" for a small compact pistol and one magazine. br> br>br>Instead of a single complete binding that runs the length of the case's bottom, it has two sections of plastic bindings. br>br>Our first impressions. br>I liked them so much that I bought two of them. br>They were decent quality for the price, with the cheaper foam, plastic hinges, and bindings being overlooked due to the price. br>Now, just a few days after release, they are no longer worth it.
A 100% mark up!
Today I check them and they have literally doubled in price! br> This irritates me greatly, and it is exactly what happened with all of the MTM series quality cases prior to their release. br>I just don't get it?br>br>The product is rated based on its quality versus its price, and as the price rises, so does the quality. br>The fact that we could start buying our cases with a single brand so that they all looked the same; accumulating a minimum of 10 MTM cases until they all doubled in price. br>br>The small 805 case is now more expensive than the four pistol stack case. The price of a four-pistol double-stack case has also increased by $5. As a result, the 150% mark up on the 805 10” is almost a 150% mark up on the 805 10” is almost a 150% br>br>The fact that the smallest MTM style case costs twice as much as the medium case is absurd and a stab in the back. br> These are then released at a reasonable price of $7 each, and you get what you pay for, as our photos demonstrate. br>Because I bought three, we've had to use this style in a ten. Because the MTM model has increased in price from $7 to $5. From $99 to $16, $18 for the same size and quality is simply too extravagant and egotistical.

We need to make it clear in our reviews that when we review a product those reviews are solely based on price vs quality and if we voice that Our good reviews are 100% based on the low price rather than because the quality is excellent. br>br>These cases are only attractive because they are inexpensive. That's all there is to it. br> br>At the prices that the nice size MTM cases have risen to, we'd definitely be purchasing Case Club custom cut TSA quality cases. When it comes to quality metal binding, thick, hard pluck, or cut foam cases, none of these cases even come close. This is not the same case species. They're on opposite ends of the spectrum. br>I hope this clarifies things for you. UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA br>UCCA UCCA.

Flambeau is a slapstick character
3/5

The egg shell foam inside was not glued at all and slid all over the case because it was not designed to fit inside; after 45 minutes of scrubbing with alcohol, the glue still won't lift. br>br>This is a flimsy piece of nonsense. I'll use cardboard and egg cartons to make a more sturdy case. It's a humiliating experience. I also purchased a 40" case, which I will be returning due to Flambeau's incompetence. br>br>Why would I pay for something I can get for free by digging through the trash?.

It's a good case at a good price! I recently purchased a Smith and Wesson SD9VE, which arrived in a cardboard box, so I needed a case right away
5/5

This is the first case I've seen with slide latches, which means I can secure the case with the gun's lock rather than having to buy additional padlocks for other cases. The case is more than adequate for the price and the purpose for which I require it!.

Big and roomy, it can easily fit two 14" pistols inside
5/5

I like this case a lot because it's big enough to hold two 14" pistols and still have room to spare. The slide latches are superior to the common snap lever latch, and the hinges are made of plastic but are very sturdy. The case's walls are thick enough to protect what's inside if it's dropped, but not thick enough to withstand an airport baggage handler. A nice feature is that the case is designed to be stacked, so if you have two or more, they will "lock" together and not slide off each other when stacked on their sides. br>Be aware that the foam that comes with it is insufficient to keep a pistol from sliding to the bottom of the case when it is picked up. To improve grip, I recommend adding a second layer of 1" foam to one side. I cut new foam with custom cutouts for two pistols and covered it with hunter green velvet after removing the old foam. The case can now be removed, and both pistols will remain in place, preventing them from colliding. br>At this price, you should expect a case that is suitable for both storage and range trips. I was pleased to find that the case was better than I had anticipated and that it perfectly met my requirements. br>I tossed the factory foam and replaced it with 1/2 inch foam on the bottom side, followed by 1 inch of foam with pistol cutouts. The foam and back side of the velvet were then sprayed with adhesive before being assembled. On the top side, I used the same technique but only used 1 inch of foam with no cutouts and covered it in green velvet. br>Amazon has Velvet and Foam. From a local store, 3M super 77 spray adhesive.
