Excellent case for the money; it's still a little pricey, but it's well worth it for what you get and the ability to transport ten pistols in one case. This case is within reach for those who can afford a single Pelican 1750 case. In addition, I have a Doro 5 pistol case to compare. Yes, this case will easily fit pistols with slide-mounted red dots/optics, as there is plenty of room and clearance. The distance between the inside of the lid and the lip is one inch. You'll be fine as long as you're under this height protrusion from the main case body; if you're slightly over, the bottom foam will slightly compress to give you more room. To close the lid, I don't need to press hard or even moderately; all I need is a gentle push. I should point out that I am not using magazines because they will reduce the height clearance depending on the pistol, red dot, mounting plate, and how far the mags protrude. br>br>The slots are quite narrow, so inserting pistols, especially those with aggressive grips like LOK Bogies, requires some effort. The narrowness, on the other hand, tightly secures them, so it's a positive and negative in that regard. It's not difficult by any means, and you don't need to use force; it's just that you can't just drop them in; you'll need to give them a small push down to insert them in the slot. The slots are long enough to accommodate most pistols; I'll report back when I try to cram my Desert Eagle and Ruger Gp100 into them. There's a 357mag 6" in there somewhere. I had to trim the foam on most of my pistols to make them sit flat because they have a WML. I simply cut the foam along the glue line; however, doing so will cause the foam to sit lower than the case foam. You'll have to measure and cut it if you want it to fit inside the case foam. The large center cut is ideal for large magazines or anything else you want to put in there; I used it to store my FN Five-seveN mags, which are too long to fit in the mag slots. br>br>The case is of excellent quality, and it is noticeably greyer than the Doro 5 pistol case. It's much more rigid and sturdier, with the scratchy texture and look and feel of glass fiber reinforced plastic, leading me to believe that this case contains or uses more glass fiber. It has superior foam to the 5 pistol case, is denser, and has a much nicer appearance and feel. It's still a bit plasticy, but not as much as the 5 pistol case. The foam on the lid is egg crate foam, which is denser than the 5 pistol case and feels like the kind of high-quality foam found in Pelican cases. The polyurethane wheels have a plastic core and are thick, so they should last a long time. They are attached to the case with a metal rod that is threaded on both ends and secured with a lock nut. The wheels on the case roll smoothly and quietly, with very little slop. There are four latches on this case: two on the front and one on each side, with a hole to the left and right of each latch for locking, allowing you to lock up to eight locks. The ergonomic handles, one in front and one on each side, are made of a medium hardness rubber that is soft enough not to hurt your hands but firm enough not to be flimsy. The latch for the extendable handle is located on the outside of the bottom and is very simple and easy to use. The handle isn't as well supported and flexes away from the case more than the other side because this area has material removed for the latch mechanism. The hinge has a full length 1/4" plastic rod that holds the body and lid together; if it ever breaks, I'll simply replace it with a stainless steel rod. The case has four rubber feet screwed into the bottom. This is a fantastic situation. I have a couple of competition pistols with flared and extended mag wells that never fit into standard pistol cases. This one has relief cuts that allow for a proper fit of the larger flared mag well, which is a nice feature. It will also fit guns without removing the rails. accessories that have been mounted Fits a wide range of revolvers and semiautomatics. The only disadvantage is the lack of steel-framed windows. The padlock holes have reinforced grommets, as seen on more expensive cases.
Aside from that, I'm going to get another one!.
Everything can be tailored to your preferences. It's TSA-approved and comes with a luggage handle, among other features. This is a product I strongly recommend.

There's no need to lug a 4' pelican to the range any longer. The same quality as a pelican or a case club, but at a fraction of the cost.
I liked how I could now safely transport my firearms to the range and that there was enough room for all of my firearms and magazines.
I would recommend this product because it is of excellent quality.
