Why is the acog mount shown rather than the dovetail mount in the picture? Is this the plate with the dovetail mount?

They simply chose the incorrect image. I got the Beretta 92 dovetail mount that I required.

Is this going to work with a Beretta M9A3?

It's very likely, in my opinion. My copy is a grisan m9 compact, which is a Turkish centurion knockoff. On YouTube, I believe honest outlaw has a video of one on a m9a3 player.

Is it compatible with the 92x?

The m9 rear sight dovetail is used in this mount. It will work if the dovetail on your 92x is the same.

For the Beretta pistol, this is an excellent optic mount

This optics mount is of very high quality. On a Beretta 92fs, it's perfect! Three sets of screws are included for Holosun and other brands of optics. Installs in the rear sight's dovetail. The fit is extremely snug and secure. There were no modifications required; it fit perfectly right out of the box. The purchase was a great success. When compared to a Sight Mount brand mount, this mount is much lower on the gun.
