Selected User Reviews For Smith & Wesson Executive Barlow 6.25in S.S. Assisted Opening Knife with 2.75in Sheepsfoot Blade and G10 Handle for Outdoor, Tactical, Survival and EDC
It's almost like a straight razor because of the hollow grind, which makes it thin behind the edge and super slicey. Very useful for utility cutting, day-to-day tasks, and food preparation. Right out of the box, it was razor sharp. The build quality appears to be good; it feels solid in the hand but isn't too heavy in the pocket. The spring-assisted flipper deploys quickly, and I'm glad I got it because I think it'll become one of my favorites.
It's not overly expensive, and it's effective. Steel is a good choice. As a pocket-sized device, it is extremely useful. I liked it so much that I ordered one with a wood handle as well.
This small knife has a very smooth action, and the blade took a fine edge quickly. For an EDC Barlow, I would strongly recommend it.
I wish I had purchased two of these. I really like the blade's shape; it's exactly what I was looking for.
Unless you hold the blade in a specific way, it's not the best for stabbing something.
