This item was purchased in order for me to practice spoon carving. I also got the narex sloyd carving knife, which has many of the same features as the narex sloyd carving knife. Steel that is well-polished and appears to be in good working order. The glue on the blade where they inserted into the handle, on the other hand, was a disappointment. They have a nice feel to them in the hand, and only time will tell how well they hold up.
