So I purchased this set in order to use it on Bear and Deer. I've used it on both, but the gutting knife disappointed me because it broke on the first use. The remaining knives, on the other hand, were fantastic! When skinning, the small knife with the rounded blade that is sharp all the way around is ideal for getting into tight spaces. Sharpening knives quickly and easily is also a breeze with the knife sharpener.
The tangs don't go all the way through the handles, the plastic handle is uncomfortable to hold, the knives have no weight, and the steel used quickly dulls. These knives were designed by someone who has never dressed an animal in the field.
So far this deer season, I've used these to gut, skin, and butcher three deer, and they're great! Thank you very much!.

My father got it as a present. He did say, however, that they appeared to be high-quality knives, and that he now had knives for everything. Lol.
The tools in this deer cleaning kit were much more durable, but we didn't get a deer this year.
