Questions & Answers

Is it true that the sheaths are suitable for toddlers?

Even with a sheath, I wouldn't give these knives to a toddler! They're bright and cheerful, and they're designed to look like toys. as an example any self- A respectful inquisitive toddler would try very hard (and eventually succeed) to remove the sheath. They're razor-sharp knives of exceptional quality.

What are your methods for honing your skills?

Sharpeners that are "typical" will do the job. They'll simply scrape the coating off with the knife's edge, but make sure the angle is correct. br>In addition, if you send them in and pay for shipping, the manufacturer will sharpen them for you. I imagine this is more cost effective for their higher-priced knives.br>https: //Household goods http://www.kaiusaltd.com/faq

Kershaw knives have always been a favorite of mine, and this one is no exception
3/5

It would be the if it had a little more flex. I'm not a professional chef, but I do have enough experience to feed a small army. Each of these knives has its own set of advantages, which I'll go over now. br>br>The citrus knife (yellow) is collecting dust in my drawer. Is this for real? What is the approximate amount of citrus that I will need to cut? br>My go-to knife is a paring knife in green. I'm a big Kershaw fan, and this knife is no exception. It'd be the bee's knees if it had a little more flex. br>The blue utility knife is a must-have item. It accomplishes all of these tasks satisfactorily, but none of them brilliantly. That said, it's a nice color. br>Oh, my, the santoku (purple). Someone must have taken a mold of my hand and formed this blade around it while I was sleeping. This is the type of knife you might want surgically grafted onto your arm, though it wouldn't feel as natural even then. br>The slicing knife (red) has the potential to sever the fabric of time and space. br>The bread knife (orange) makes me wonder how I ever lived without one. br>br>How come these knives only get three stars? I was cutting some bread with the bread knife the other day when I noticed an odd orange tinge halfway through a mouthful of bread. The blade coating did decide to rub off a little. I wash these knives by hand and treat them with respect, even telling them how much I enjoy them. It could have been the bread's heat, but I think that's a little low for blades that are two to three months old. Obviously, I'll be keeping an eye on the rest of the knives for signs of wear and tear, especially since I sleep with the santoku (as I previously stated, I adore that blade).

Knives of exceptional quality I received a set for Christmas and have since purchased another set as a gift for my brother
5/5

I enjoy cutting up ten to fifteen different types of vegetables for a particular recipe or meal. I have a few cheap knives that I keep sharp and that have always served me well. Working with these knives, on the other hand, is similar to working with razor blades. They're razor-sharp and can consistently cut tomato slices to a thickness of less than an eighth of an inch. Now, you probably won't need this very often, but slicing things quickly and smoothly requires far less effort. They're not too heavy. So don't buy them if you're concerned about your weight. I considered weight to be significant. But, as with so many things, you adapt; sheaths for each knife are also useful-- For these razor-sharp bladed edges, it's a must. You must also commit to not leaving them lying around once you've finished with them, or they will knick. They must be handled with care, as if they were a finely tuned instrument. Last but not least, their prices are unbelievable. When you see top chefs shelling out $300 or more for a knife, it's hard not to be impressed. For under $60 for the set, I don't think they'll cut any better than these. I don't know how long the blades will stay sharp because I haven't had them long enough.

They've been in my mother's possession for a long time
5/5

These knives were in my mother's house for a few years before I moved out, so I only recently acquired them. I always preferred to use them, and they stayed sharp for a long time before needing to be re-sharpened, as far as I recall. Over the years, everything has remained razor-sharp and durable, and my mother still uses hers. Her set, on the other hand, was purchased at Costco. Word of caution: they are /extremely sharp/. I know that sounds silly because knives are sharp by definition, but while cutting with one, my hand slipped (I should have gripped it tighter) and it cut a quarter of the way through my finger with only light pressure. As a result, use extra caution when dealing with these.

A fantastic purchase! These knives have been in my possession for nearly two years
5/5

I haven't yet developed a taste for any of them. The quality is unbeatable at this price. I'm glad I bought this set because I've gone through a lot of other, more expensive ones. On meat, vegetables, and bread, I use these on a regular basis. I've followed the care instructions to the letter and have never put them in the dishwasher, which is probably why they've lasted this long. If you're in the market for a new knife, these will astound you. The colors are merely a bonus. I keep these in a drawer and have become so accustomed to the colors that I can quickly identify which knife I require and where it is located. The drawer they're in is stuffed due to my limited kitchen space, but the colors always help me find the perfect one.

This is a fantastic collection
5/5

These knives are absolutely fantastic. I'd never bought a nice knife set before, and this one was fantastic; the knives were razor sharp (almost frighteningly so) and made cutting my 10,000 vegetables a day a breeze. I use the purple knife the most, and it's a little dulled, but I'm not a knife expert, so I'm sure I should have sharpened it by now. I've had them for a few months now, and I use the purple knife at least five times a week. I'm sure I'll figure out what to do with the others at some point, but they're all just as sharp and adorable. I really like the colors, and they haven't faded or chipped even after being dishwashed.

Comfortable, long-lasting, and bright as hell
5/5

These knives have been in my possession for two years, and I adore them! They've done a fantastic job so far. They're light enough that I don't mind using them, but strong enough to get the job done. I wash them by hand and hang them to dry, and they've never given me any trouble. The vibrant colors appeal to me. I've never been particularly skilled with a knife, but these cut like butter! I'm left-handed, and most knife handles are curved and uncomfortable to use with my left hand, but not these! The handles are smooth, with no strange curves or designs, making them very comfortable to hold, especially when chopping vegetables for long periods of time. Not only would I recommend these, but I would buy this brand again in a heartbeat!.

Excellent Knives at an Exceptionally Low Price! These are the knives that a friend introduced me to
5/5

She told me that her knives were dulling and that she wished she could afford Komachi knives. I couldn't believe something so inexpensive could be what she was talking about, so I ordered some for myself first, and it didn't even take a day for me to jump back on and order some for her. They are a hit with her! br>Because I have a very colorful house and kitchen, this was ideal for me. br>For staple knives, these are a must-have.
