Questions & Answers
They're made in China, and I believe they're made of Japanese steel. They're of excellent quality, with a hefty but balanced feel in the hand and a razor-sharp edge. I strongly advise you to purchase them.

Steel that is of poor quality and is brittle. It's impossible to get a good edge on a stone with this. Also, this item was not made in Japan as claimed. The manufacturer of this knife is China. What an elaborate ruse.
The Kensei set is fantastic. The Honesuki boning knife has a razor-sharp edge. It's easy to use, precise, and has a good hand feel. Everything works well with the Kiritsuke's weight, feel, and length. I'm feeling inspired to cut, cook, and eat new things. Kamikoto, I appreciate your help.
It wasn't quite as sharp as I had hoped. This is the first set of Kamikoto knives I've ever owned. The knives were packaged in an attractive ash wood box. br>br>In the hand, they feel balanced, and the handles appear to be well-made. br>br>The first thing I did was test the sharpness of the blade by cutting a piece of paper. They weren't quite as sharp as I had hoped. br>br>These are lovely to give as gifts, but only time will tell if they are as good as my Shun knives.
I own a few Kamikoto sets. I adore them all. They're well-balanced, razor-sharp, and never lose their edge!.
