No, fingerprints and codes are stored in the safe. The safe has a solid feel to it.
I'm not sure what model laser light you have, but it should be able to hold a Glock 19 with a flashlight attached. I had to carve out a small piece of foam to make room for it, but it fit perfectly after that.
Because the foam can be cut with a razor, it will fit any handgun. I have a Beretta 92G with a laser light and plenty of room in my bag.

I had to write a review because I was so impressed by this handgun safe. br>br>When looking for a handgun safe, my criteria were as follows: 1) Be able to properly secure a large handgun (1911) from children and other unauthorized individuals; 2) Be easily accessible in the middle of the night without having to get out of bed and/or fumble around in the dark. This safe nailed those two "must haves" to a tee! br>br>As you can see in the video, this handgun safe is large enough to hold my Springfield 1911 and one magazine comfortably. The safe's foam insert can be removed and cut if necessary to accommodate larger guns, though I didn't need to do so with mine. The battery pack is located on the back side of the safe and is easily removable. The device requires four AAA batteries, which are not included. The safe's operating functions were extremely simple to use, which I found to be very appealing. After unpacking, I had the safe open and programmed with a new code in less than 5 minutes, with the majority of that time spent installing batteries and reading the manual that came with it. Within the first 10 minutes, I had as many as 15 fingerprints (some of which I repeated to improve readability). Under the 3 key, in the safe, is the program button for entering a new code and/or fingerprints. You can use the numbers 1 through 6 to create a 4-, 5-, or 6-digit code for the safe. You can't press two digits at once, and there's a quiet mode to turn off the loud beeping that occurs whenever you enter a number or fingerprint. The safe comes with two physical keys that can be used to open it through the keyhole on the underside. br>br>I installed this bad boy on the side of my nightstand, but due to the design of the nightstand and the desired height I wanted the safe to rest, I had to modify it with a quarter inch piece of plywood. This was not a knock against the design of the safe or mounting bracket, but rather a quick fix to ensure the safe sat in a position that was best suited for my personal liking. The mounting bracket was easy to install on the nightstand using the four provided screws, and it can be switched between the left and right sides of the safe to accommodate different mounting positions. From the inside of the safe, a small safety screw secures the bracket. I did have some difficulty getting this small safety screw on, but that was only because I have excessively large hands and the safe is too small for me to fit my giant meat hooks in while also having the dexterity required to properly fit this screw. As a result, I enlisted the help of my wife. br>br>Overall, this safe has left me very impressed. While it is more expensive than other handgun safes, I believe it is well worth the money. With a small child and more on the way, I can rest assured that my gun is both safe from children and easily accessible for authorized users.
For the price, this is an excellent handgun safe that feels solid but isn't overly heavy. It can be attached to your nightstand, the side or back of your bed, or both. The fingerprint pad is extremely sensitive, and it only takes a few seconds for the compartment to open and you to gain access to your weapon. A four-digit pin or a security key can also be used to unlock it. My purchase has made me extremely happy. It comes highly recommended. In addition, I've had previous interactions with this company's customer service, and they are extremely diligent, pleasant, and accommodating.
We've bought two Moutec gun safes in the last few months and have been very pleased with both of them. The safe is made of high-quality materials. Instead of a smaller handgun, my husband chose to put his 357 Magnum Revolver in it. The foam can be cut to fit your handgun, and if you need more foam for a different handgun (or if you make a mistake), they will send you more foam for free. The fingerprint reader was simple to set up and can hold multiple prints. The customer service has been outstanding! If you're looking for a high-quality gun safe at a reasonable price, we recommend the Moutec brand. One thing to keep in mind is that these are not fire-resistant.
This single handgun safe is ideal and fulfills all of my requirements. I really like how smoothly the drawer slides out. One of my previous jobs was as a One of my main concerns before buying was whether the drawer would slide out smoothly. I'm here to tell you that it slides out "WITHOUT" hesitation, and I'd feel safe accessing my handgun from the safe at any time. The safe's sturdiness and thickness are ideal, and I appreciate the fingerprint reader's ease of use. The only issue I'm having is deciding which handgun to keep in the safe, as I'm considering buying another for another room in the house. If you have children in your home, the security of this gun safe is ideal. This gun safe comes highly recommended by me to anyone looking for a secure way to store their handgun with easy but secure access.

Despite the fact that the instructions stated that it uses AA batteries, this unit required AAA batteries. The mounting bracket is designed for ease of installation, but it is a little flimsy; it only came with four wood screws, and depending on where it is installed, you may need to purchase additional screws. A manual lock is also included in the safe, which is useful if the batteries run out. Overall, it appears to be a great deal that will keep your weapon out of your children's hands.
This is a genuine handgun safe. Excellent craftsmanship and a very well-thought-out design! The safe is extremely sturdy, but the door opens with ease. The spring is also quite strong, allowing for quick firearm access. The fingerprint scanner is extremely quick and precise. I followed the simple instructions for setting up a few different scans for each of the fingers I'll be using, and they worked perfectly. The adjustable mounting gear is versatile, as it can be screwed in from the top or sides and can be accessed from either side. There is a silent mode, which is great for being discreet, although you do hear a mechanical noise of the bolt retracting (so not 100 “silent”, but to% The compartment has enough room for one handgun and one magazine while maintaining a slim profile, and it comes with a foam insert that can be cut by the user if necessary to tailor the mold to the gun's specifics.
